Reservations are recommended Saturdays and Sundays as there may be longer wait times. Walk-ins are only accepted if there are cancellations or if there is available seating. We came home to Memphis and just had to try out Biscuits and Jams. We were greeted at the door by the hostess and the owner. It was a busy Friday morning. I do recommend making a reservation. We were sat and greeted very promptly by our server. Chef Mo was very visible and talking with her guests which was awesome. All of the food we ordered was amazing. I can not wait to come home and visit again just to come eat. I also ordered the mimosa flight and it was so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you’re in the area you can’t go wrong going here for breakfast or brunch.

It was a brunch date with one of my friends on Saturday. We were late and reached there around 1:30 pm. Still the place was overly packed. People were waiting in the line- so we had to wait for another 35 minutes to get a corner in the bar ( not even a table ). This huge crowd only vouch for the popularity of the place for sure. The service was super slow, I must say. I got myself a bowl of shrimp and grits and my friend ordered shrimp poboy sandwich. We ordered a biscuit separately as a side. The biscuit was crunchy and baked to the perfection. It was neither greasy, nor dry. It was freshly baked, and warm. They served some house made jam with it. Honestly that was the best. We loved the biscuit – jam combo. The entree meal was a bit overpriced. The shrimp and grits was nice, creamy, and very filling

We had been wanting to try this for months. The items we were most looking forward to was the Rum Boogie French Toast and the Blueberry Lemon Waffle. Sadly, they were both underwhelming. The French Toast just tasted like French Toast. There was very little Rum Boogie to it. The Blueberry Topping was drier than we were expecting as was the Waffle and French Toast themselves. You really needed the Syrup, which I usually don’t. The Lemon Zest on top was a nice touch though. The Lotta Patata shows real promise. The fries were delicious. The Pepper Onion mixture was amazing, I only wish there had been more of it in the fries. The Egg was fried harder and drier than any Egg we have seen before. It would have been nice to choose the firmness of the egg. The Biscuit and Jam was delicious. I certainly understand why they chose that as their name. The Tropical Mimosa while tasty was very small for the price. The Blueberry Mule Mocktail though was a true delight. Overall the stars of the meal were the fries, pepper and onion mixture, biscuit, and the Blueberry Mule Mocktail. The table was dirty and they showed little desire to correct this. The restrooms were a complete disaster. There were paper towels all over the floor and just seemed to overall need a good cleaning. The staff had mixed vibes. The lady that greeted us was so nice and friendly. Our server seemed unhappy and unengaged though. The most awkward part of the experience was when we got the check. We saw the tip was added already which was fine and is pretty common these days. The awkward part is when the server informed us that the tips are shared and implied it wasn’t enough. Then stared at him as he was completing the payment, while she held the device. We usually add extra to the tips, but this time we felt pressured to do so. Perhaps she was having an off day, but I hope she finds happiness.

Had the pleasure of visiting Biscuit and Jams and I was impressed. Our service was fantastic. Our server was prompt, helpful, and made our experience even better! We tried the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, fried green tomatoes, breakfast potatoes, shrimp and crawfish Benedict, and biscuit and gravy. The food was delicious but the star of the show was certainly the shrimp and grits. Simply put the grits were fluffy and the shrimp sauce combined nicely with this dish. We were not disappointed by the portion either. The fried green tomatoes were certainly a hidden gem. The parmesan cheese and chowchow sauce were a pleasant surprise. Am giving this a 4 star because the steak was tough. This experience was pleasant. We would certainly be back. If you are local to memphis or visiting and looking for a place to eat be sure to check them out you will not be disappointed. Don’t forget to get your mimosa flight or get a bottle of champagne!

Finally, I got to enjoy this establishment to eat the delicious food that I’ve heard about. The Mango Lemonade was so good. I also had the Bacon Jam Cheeseburger with a fried egg on top and fries…uuummmmm, that Bacon Jam is delicious. I will be back to try some other items, such as the Biscuits!
