3 generations and over 75 years of good old fashioned home cooking. Grandmas home made bread on Saturday. Hand pattied burgers and ham sandwiches served on bread. (no, we’ve never had buns) Hand cut french frys. Pan fried perch on Fridays with grandmas potato salad. Baked chicken on Sat. with home made stuffing & gravy. Cast-iron griddle tenderloins and ribeye’s. Door County fresh broiled whitefish and salmon. Homemade dessert on Sunday.

We stopped on a Saturday night for a drink to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It seemed to be a place for locals/regulars, but they were all very nice and welcoming. Brad was attentive and outgoing, and the prices couldn’t be beat! We ended up ordering a burger to go, and even reheated it was juicy and perfectly seasoned. When we are back in the area we will be sure to stop again!

This is a must visit place. It’s quintessential to what a bar and grill from yesteryear was all about. Friendly and great atmosphere. Good food and drinks. Reasonable prices. Hope they never remodel or modernize. Sure the menu is limited and changes often. Sure you could get better quality. But then go to the big city for sterile mirrors, chrome metal stuffy snooty atmosphere and snobby menus.

I love this place! The food and drinks are great and the servers are friendly and helpful. Stick around at the bar for a drink after dinner – and meet Brad (he was super friendly and helpful and introduced as around to other people at the bar). This is the perfect neighborhood bar and restaurant – the menu has something for everyone and the atmosphere is casual and fun.
