Good food takes time, is what another review reads. I was able to order, eat and return to work on my one hour lunch, while working close by. This restaurant is near the waterside, Marriot and Hilton hotels and has their menu posted online. They have great prices, and my duck and egg on a biscuit was very good. It came with home fries, and I wish I could have tried more items from the menu.

I was super excited to try this new restaurant. But my spirit went down hill as soon as I found out my reservation made weeks in advance was not honored. My party arrived at 1245p for a reservation for 6 at 1pm. I was told another large party was dining in and it’ll be another hour before we are seated. I was disappointed that nothing was offered but an apology. No heads up before no I can call when your table is ready. I had to suggest it all. Moving forward, after providing my contact info the hostess/waitress called about 45 minutes later to advise the table was ready. We dined upstairs and then waitress apologized for the delay and offered fries as complimentary for the inconvenience. Moving fwd…

I can’t stop talking about this place! The avocado toast was the best! I was so happy when the owner told me she is opening up a location in Portsmouth too. Thank you for giving us a fun place to dine with a good experience. I look forward to returning soon!

I really wanted duck & the waiter suggested the “Chefs Special” for the day. The mash potatoes were really good! I was a bit skeptical about the strawberry chili sauce that came with the duck, but trusted the process & it came out really good! wasn’t a big fan of the spinach, however the Chef came out and spoke with me & apologized about the spinach which I thought was really dope, you don’t get that at most places. the atmosphere and music was deff a vibe. & the food came out quick! deff will be back to try the duck fried rice.

I had the duck fried rice, wings glazed with a sauce… which was delicious….the duck nachos and a few lol drinks and everything was really excellent! Love the atmosphere and vibe!

Great staff! Aleemah is a top notch server! Mimosas on point..duck nachos and duck fried rice were super flavorful. I should have ordered a to-go. Just more reason to go back!

Walked in after smelling something incredible wafting out as I passed on the sidewalk. Decent bourbon selection, and the menu was intriguing. I ordered an Old Granddad 114 and the dinner serving of Thick Thighs with garlic mash and brussels. What showed up at my table was a very generous pour of Old Granddad Bottled in Bond, but no complaints there. I sat and enjoyed the uptempo modern music selection and the great people-watching from my window seat and salivated at the smells eminating from the kitchen. Then heaven arrived in front of me. The chicken was so juicy but also crispy, the biscuit had a butter on it that was amazing, the garlic mash was excellent, and the brussels were perfectly cooked. I followed up dinner with a Buffalo Trace, which was also generously poured. It was a great experience, and the next time I’m in town I’m bringing everyone with me. One piece of advice: ask what the market price is before you order any bourbons that say MKT, especially if it’s a bourbon that’s common where you’re from. Some bourbons in VA are hard to come by and are upcharged to reflect.

The duck nachos and thick thighs were both delicious, but the biscuit was amazing! The service was a little slow, but really friendly. We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re back in Norfolk!

What an amazing little cozy place. I went here for breakfast on a beautiful Tuesday. My server, Aleemah, was very welcoming and attentive. The banana nut latte was so tasty, I could drink more than one. For food choice I tried the duck sandwich. The biscuit was very good and Eggs. I would have preferred the duck to be medium and tender. It was well done. The honey Bourbon butter was a nice addition to the biscuit. I know this place is fairly new so I am willing to give it another try really soon. Can’t wait to try the lunch items!
