I highly recommend this place. First time eating there today. The coffee pot appears to be a giant French press — SO YUMMY. They bring you a porcelain creamer pitcher with it. Adorable little coffee cups/saucers. Accompanied by a fresh little doughnut — just those paired together make the visit worth it.

I have been to this establishment twice in person (supporting black owned business) and the food was good. While having dinner I picked up a grub hub card (in the restaurant on display) for $10 off a grub hub order. I decided to use the discount on Tuesday Jan 24 at 1:30pm. Everything went through on grub hub (the app) and I even received confirmation when my order was to be picked up. At 2pm I walked (I live around the corner) to Bird and the hours on the door said 6-10pm! Grub Hub, Google Maps, and the company’s WEBSITE said 9am-3pm and 5pm-10pm. So I called (maybe someone was in the office at the restaurant). No answer, but the company’s answering service RECORDING said they were open too! Grub hub was awesome at reimbursing me and giving me a $10 grub hub credit for my trouble (when the mistake wasn’t even their fault). When I finally spoke with someone at Bird (around 5:30pm) they said “Grub Hub will take care of it…” I asked, is there something you might offer a customer who went through that sort of inconvenience? They said “Grub Hub will take care of it…” I thought that might be a really good time to offer someone at least a complimentary side dish or a glass of wine at my next visit…But hey, what do I know I don’t work in customer service…I will NOT go back to give my money to an establishment that doesn’t seem to care about their business…

Very nice restaurant in downtown Mount Rainier with a good, highly variable menu. Drinks are good, especially the fig and stormy. Steer clear of the red rooster cocktail if you don’t live super sweet things. The muscles looked spectacular and both the shrimp and grits and steak frit were excellent.

Amazing menu and wonderful cocktails. Service can be a bit on the slow side on the weekends due to high traffic and not enough wait staff but the quality and absolutely scrumptious items on the menu more than make up for it! Definitely recommend of you are having a lazy Sat or Sunday.

Discreet place, non-pretentious, great vibe. The menu is constantly evolving, drinks and wine list are great. Service is friendly and attentive. Overall, a little gem in the growing Mount Rainier community. Great addition to the DC area.

Last night I had dinner at Bird. The service was good however, I was shocked at the prices, comparable to Old Ebbit Grill, and definitely is not. I ordered a glass of white wine, $10 got less than half a glass that is not right. I ordered the fried chicken, and the leg was cooked properly but the thigh was raw and had to send it back. I am willing to give this one more shot, but these things need to improve or it will be my last visit.

Ate here on Sunday. It has the potential to be great, but failed on Sunday. It was 1100 – NO COFFEE and no coffee beans to make coffee. Really?

The most perfectly cooked chicken I have ever eaten. Service was slow. But the chicken, so good. Shrimp and grits received rave reviews as well.
