Service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Wife ordered the Fried Chicken platter and I had the Birchwood Burger. We tried the Goat Cheese fritters appetizer accompanied with some 50/50 Sweet/Unsweetened tea. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

First time eating here…. was amazing. Everything from the entrees to the sauces was all made in-house. Had the duck wings appetizer with homemade blue cheese and homemade hot sauce…. stellar. Entrees, we had the pork chop and the meatloaf, both fantastic and for dessert we tried the buttermilk pie and banana pudding. Both highly recommended!! Will definitely return!

Choose to eat here before I drove back home from my trip. Paul really stood out with his professionalism and attention to detail. The burger I had was definitely top-notch, and they have the best homemade Apple cobbler desert that I’ve ever had… even has a scoop of ice cream at the top. I really enjoyed my visit here!

My daughter and I drove up from nearby Hendersonville for a day trip and wanted to try somewhere new and was very satisfied with the place overall. Natasha was our waitress( please be sure to tip your waitress) and was super sweet and refilled our teas( which was so good and was NOT overly sweet), efficient, knowledgeable and told us the backstory for the restaurant. My daughter ordered a turkey club and I had a chicken sandwich and the fries were awesome as well. The atmosphere was pretty mellow,we went around 2 and it really wasn’t that busy for a Saturday. They do close for an hour to allow breaks for everyone but check the times just to be sure and open back up after that. I was impressed and we will be going back next Saturday as well. This is located in downtown Waynesville on Main.

Very beautiful room nice, bright and clean room .seated right away friendly and knowledgeable staff. I went with appetizers pork, belly, and grits, duck wings and goat cheese fritters plus we also had fried chicken dish with mash potato and green beans.the only thing I thought was not that good was the pork belly could be a little bit thicker and crispy.bathroom was very clean.great time will be going back.

We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday and the food was excellent! Perfect spice (robust and balanced, not crazy) on the cajun dishes and very friendly service. After church the crowd increased appreciably. We will definitely return when we have time for a beer and more delicious food.

We had a delicious dinner, splitting the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and the macaroni and cheese. Also had the peach cobbler and banana pudding for dessert to take home. Would not hesitate to eat here again. Our server Christine was great !

My husband and I trade restaurant recommendations with our good friends like some trade baseball cards. Since we haven’t lived here long, we rely on their tenure here, while we direct them when they’re in our old haunts. Birchwood Hall met all our expectations and their praise for food and atmosphere. Though service got off to a bit of a rocky start, our server was quietly and efficiently attentive, though slow—unusual pacing for an American restaurant, but not for someone of European descent. He did not have the command of language to allow him to be effusively verbal, and that suited us fine since it was our anniversary celebration and we enjoyed not having our conversation interrupted.
