The atmosphere is small and quaint. It is a small kitchen with a small staff so if you go don’t go when you are in a rush. we walked in right when they opened so we got lucky but within minutes of ordering the line was out the door. They are very straightforward about the wait which was good. Now the food was amazing the chili oil wontons were amazing and the sauce is like heaven in a cup. everything was so good and i would definitely come back here to try some of the other menu items. the pork shrimp chive dumplings were clearly hand made and fresh so those were amazing.

4/4.5. If you’re between the brick and mortar shop and Bing Mi the food cart – go to the food cart! They’re both good and flavorful, but the Jian Bing is better than the noodles and dumplings. We ordered pork steamed dumplings, sesame dressing salad, and zha jiang mian. Very tasty, but portions are on the smaller side. I thought the noodles were slightly undercooked. I’d still come back for another try.

Delicious noodles with options I don’t see as much at other noodle restaurants in Portland. I keep dreaming about the Cong You Mian, a simple but tasty dish. The Da Lu Mian, You Po Mian, and Zha Jiang Mian were all solid too.

An authentic Northeastern Chinese noodle bar in the charming old industrial corner of NW Portland especially for a stroll out around town. They have diverse options of cold noodle (Liang mian) after a nice hike at Forest Park, or a hot Zha Jiang Mian on a cozy autumn day and appetizers to share while you sip on a cold beer or hot tea. There’s something for everyone in this cozy place.

We stumbled upon Bing Mi, and the atmosphere of a cute little noodle bar totally grabbed our attention! Immediately we were so so welcomed in by Jackie (the owner we soon were introduced to). I would see dumplings be freshly folded in the back by other family members as we gulped down such authentic and delicious cong you mian. Highly recommend! I love their mission and commitment to authenticity (where americanizing cuisines from other restaurants may have been an easy way out).

WOW. We ordered the Da Lu Mian vegan, You Po Mían, and veggie san xian dumplings. They were all phenomenal. I can’t recommend enough. The Szechuan pepper in the gravy sauce was bomb. Will absolutely be back. THANK YOU for helping me love food again.
