Bro literally this place has like the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, like it’s so good. I always order the Popcorn Chicken and I love it every time. It’s really crispy and crunchy and the flavor is nice and the texture is nice and then there’s the fries and those are also really good too. Also did I mention the aoli it’s really good dipping sauce. And the atmosphere is like chill and nice and I like it. And the service is good also. Overall this place is delicious and a must go-to restaurant for anyone who lives in or visits Ashland.

I don’t like to post negative reviews, but my chicken was honestly very bad. I wish I had read a review like this before ordering and wasting $20 on completely flavorless chicken. I will say the servers were super sweet on the phone when I called to order and the biscuits were good. I came here for the chicken- I ordered a white meat plate. Oh do I regret trying to eat this. This chicken has literally no flavor at all. Also they put pickles in the box which cause the juice to get on the bottom of the chicken and makes it’s soggy. I am surprised to see any good reviews about the chicken here, but they seem to be from a few years ago. I will never be back.

Billy’s Burnt Chicken and Spooky Bathrooms. Excited to finally try Billy’s chicken. Beautiful space, friendly attentive waitstaff interesting food and beverage choices. Ordered the Korean Chicken sandwich and the Asian Sampler with truffle fries and Kimchi daikon. The sandwich was OK but underwhelming. In the chicken sandwich world the chicken should stick out past the bun, dominate the space, not the bread. The flavor was also too mild, could have used more kick.

Fantastic dinners and selection of local beers. The chicken sampler was great and they were all good for very different reasons.

Billy’s Fried Chicken was delicious. Casual, house music, dark…the mini post era underground rave of the fried chicken world.. Hands down my best fried chicken experience in Oregon and yes, this includes Portland. I had the Buttermilk and Japanese style fried chicken and I enjoyed both types. The chicken is usually a gluten free recipe. Today there was an exception with the Korean style chicken. All fried chicken is crispy and slips right off the bone. If you enjoy dill, you will enjoy the pickles too, very flavorful. The truffle fries are salty and have a specific flavor to them that I can’t quite place, same with the cole slaw, making them unique and memorable flavors. The one complaint I have is the sweet tea was 5.00 and I was literally served about 4 oz of tea. I am not exaggerating, look at the picture. Even with the greedy tea incident (do you see the amount of ice in that glass?!) I feel good about rating 5 stars. I’ll be back. Ps. Potato salad is a 3.5.

Nice atmosphere but the food and service were terrible. They were out of over half of options for sides when we went in (no fries, biscuits, kimchi or coleslaw, all the good ones). The chicken was a little over-cooked and the batter on the chicken was so thick it tasted like there was as much breading as there was chicken. The only sauce they had available for the chicken was ranch, they were also out of hot sauce apparently? Who serves chicken wings with no hot sauce? The Korean chicken came with sauce but was completely soggy and had no level of heat to it even though it was supposed to be spicy. There were only 4 beers on tap (odd for a fried chicken spot) and the waitress didn’t even know which IPA was on tap, when she came back after looking she just said “Ninkasi” and didn’t even know which one of their many IPA’s it was. When we placed our drink order to start the meal it took about 15 minutes for them to get our beers to us and the restaurant wasn’t even half way full. The waitress also couldn’t remember who ordered which beer or plate of food even though there were only 3 of us there and the restaurant was almost empty. The best part about the whole experience was definitely the atmosphere which was honestly the only good part

Never created a bad review but it was a really awful experience. After ordering to go with a 20 min wait time I waited 45 minutes until I got up from our seat to see our order sitting near the order station. It was there for 20 minutes. It was not busy and the waiter who took my order saw I was waiting the whole time. When we took it home my partners popcorn chicken had basically no chicken and a side was missing.

Overall great place. When they say small kimchi they mean it though, everything else was a solid 8/10.

Excellent fried chicken, possibly the best you’ll ever have. And the rice is cooked to perfection. And they’re basic white wine is a vino verde which is very nice.
