In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.
We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. Ewww. We got 3 orders of the number 2 fried chicken combo and one chopped sandwich. The food is flavorless and chicken is caked on with breading. Decided to give it a try but we all are definitely not a fan.

What a joke. $4.99 for a few pieces of sausage. They call it a full link??? Management doesn’t seem to care about the customers anymore. No one in the restaurant and never once did a Manager come check on us. Times have changed!

Worst BBQ I’ve had in my life…I’m from houston, so of course I’ve had my share of bbq. I’m also an avid traveller. I really wish I would’ve taken a picture of the “brisket” I received for my order. 50% consisted of pink fat, it lacked flavor, and was just excruciatingly greasy. Couldn’t pick through it to justify it as edible. The beans tasted of only salt and pepper, no baked sliver of good old righteous soul into them. The Cole slaw was sour and just not right. Not to mention the potato salad…. Also sour and slightly slimy…. And ugh…. The sweet tea… it ain’t called sweet tea if it ain’t sweet. This “tea” was watered down. The Mac and cheese was the most surprising for me, you’d think no one could screw up Mac and cheese. Think again with this sad place. If this review can possibly save someone from experiencing this embarrassment of a Texan BBQ place, then I have truly done my part for the community.

Finally able to dine in at this Bill Miller. I ordered the poor Boy plus (brisket/sausage). Unfortunately I got more fat than meat on my brisket. So it was a waste. Sausage was okay, but not the best I’ve eaten. My husband ordered the Turkey/dressing plate. He said it was delicious, but very disappointed that they only gave him one slice of turkey. I wish I would have gotten a picture, because it seemed to be a small slice for a kid. He even went back to the employee to ask if they forgot to give him another slice. They said No, that’s how the plate comes. He had to

Picked up some food to go. I ordered some brisket that happened to be moist. The juices leaked out and compromise the bag causing the continents to fall out. I returned to order some more brisket, but the employees recognized me from 15 minutes prior. They ask what happened and I explained that I needed to get more brisket since the bag was compromised. I fully expected to pay for the New order but the manager went ahead and took care of me. I know brisket is expensive so I definitely appreciate the customer service and will return soon on the near future.

Chic strips were dry, only warm . French fries warm not fresh, hash browns were old and barely warm. Man was filling new salt shakers taken from a box, didn’t look like they were pre washed..We have always loved Bill Millers so we are very disappointed.we ate at 4.30pm I think we got lunch leftovers.Cashier was very efficient and polite. Went in with my mom for a lunch date i ordered a poor boy plus with a drink and my poorboy only had 3 thin slices of meat which they claim that’s the amount its suppose to have which i always get this and i know different. The msnager ended giving me extra meat after the worker shouted out that i was claiming it was not a poor boy plus. If a poor boy plus has only 3 thin slices of meat i can imagine what a regular poor boy has.
