Big Tasty’s is such a cool place! The 50’s atmosphere is over the top. The bacon cheeseburger was the BEST burger I have had in decades. The staff was wonderful. I will definitely be visiting this diner whenever I am in the area!

Old style restaurant. Went late after lunch hour, so it was really quiet. Food prepared at the grill when ordered. Fast, friendly service. Will go again when I’m in town. Love the small town atmosphere.

This was our first time here and it was very enjoyable. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and cheese fries (cooked perfectly). The husband had a cheese burger and fries ( cooked medium just like he asked) and the little guy had a hot dog kids meal and asked for one chicken nugget so the waitress brought him 1 chicken nugget. She followed our orders to the T. We did get him the whole order by the way. We were there close to closing but they did not rush us at all and were very friendly. We will be back soon.

I am in the area for a few months and googled BEST HAMBURGER NEAR ME. Google sent me to Big Tasty’s. I loved it the minute I walked in. It’s got that vintage vibe, not contrived, but the Real McCoy. It was clean, and seemed to be frequented by locals, mostly. I was greeted as soon as I came through the door by a cheerful young woman who, I learned later, runs the place with her sister. It was their parent’s. I received timely and respectful service and I enjoyed listening to the playful banter among customers and the sisters. My hamburger was obviously hand made, served with my favorite crinkly fries. It was perfect. Next time I drive into town I should try another place, but I loved this one so much I may just keep going back there every time. (The only negative thing I will add is, be cautious with the salt and pepper shakers. The holes are much too big and you’ll have a mountain of salt with just one shake. Luckily, I tested first and saved my delicious meal.) See you in a couple weeks!

Adored this cute diner! Perfect decor & food to match. Enjoyed two different burgers that was very enjoyable, classic cut fries matched the theme. Each burger was made to order & didn’t have to wait long at all. Would be excited to come back again & try more!!

Best burgers I’ve ever eaten! I had the bacon & jalapeno burger and homemade potato salad as my side. My Dad had a mushroom & swiss burger! Everything was just delicious. Very friendly and courteous service, and affordable!

Very retro, excellent breakfast menu! Food is outstanding and the prices are better than reasonable. Friendly staff, very quick service. Very clean kitchen and bathroom. Coffee is fresh always. Veterans receive a 10% discount always. In the middle of Okeechobee’s best shopping. Do yourself a favor a check out the breakfast, burgers and country cuisine! You will not be disappointed!
