Great sushi from a food truck. There is a restaurant in Lihue but we were closer to the food truck location and it didn’t disappoint. Anyone who has read my reviews on sushi places knows I am a bit strict when it comes to rice. This rice was moist and delicious. The classic tuna and salmon rolls were good as well as the salmon nigiri. We also tried the edamame and gyoza. Both were good.

@bigmonstersushifoodtruck is well known on the island, and for good reason.

Food quality was great. But the portion was a bit smaller than I expected. And honestly not cheap.

Hardly would call this poke, much less rate it highly. I get better poke on the mainland for sure. Super small bowl and very little fish for $18. “Served on vegetables” is literally 3 cucumber slices and 5 edamame beans and romaine lettuce to take up space. Avocado was brown.

We stopped here on our last day of vacation after spying it near an activity we’d scheduled earlier in the week. I’m so glad we came back to try it! The rolls are fresh, well-sized, and flavorful. My husband was delighted by the poke bowl. It’s located in a quiet area near other stores and activities. Would come back next time we’re on the island!

Who would have thought the best sushi in the island would come from a food truck! The service was incredible and they even stayed open a little late to serve us.

We had the seaweed salad- so good. The Monster Poke Bowl was the best. Filled with rice and veggies. Also had the Green Curry chicken that was wonderfully spicy and filled with coconut flavor. Also, the service was excellent. Cheerful and fast. Would recommend this place over and over. Mahalo!

Superb! Quality same as we found during 3 weeks travelling around Japan. Great selection, fair prices. Friendly Chef as well! Even the Chickens tried stealing some while we ate at Shipwreck. They failed.
