I love this place but it’s inconsistent. Today’s Calzone was sad. Thin, sloppy, missing ingredients ,and completely off. It’s hit and miss what to expect even though I order the same thing. Very disappointing, too bad it’s just not good all the time. 🙁

I just spent $40 on a “Special” two medium pizzas and a salad. Very stingy with the cheese on both pizzas even though I ordered extra cheese on one of the two pizzas they look more like a small or personal pizza size NOT happy. Dough was good, sauce was good but where’s the cheese???? People on the phone and in the store were nice enough.

Ordered a slice of pepperoni, the little girl tells me it’s a $5.00 minimum order for credit cards. Do I want (2) slices? I said no. She goes to talk to her boss and they both look dumb found it. They finally ran it through for one slice. I said you might want to post a note at the front counter stating that there’s a five dollar minimum charge for credit cards to let your customers know in advance. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and the girl, for some reason couldn’t comprehend pepperoni. She says sausage I said no pepperoni six times still don’t understand it I guess that’s what you get for hiring teenagers. will definitely be my last time there. Must be really cheap not to be able to absorb the 50 Cent surcharge for a credit card.. last time I knew it was the cost of doing business when offering credit cards for fore of payment. Only thing good there is the pizza everything else on the menu is horrible. Food was a lot better back 20+ something years ago when the place was owned by the Mirabella‘s. Definitely gone down hill.

Hubby and I stopped in here for lunch, and had an ok experience. We were able to find parking pretty quickly, and upon entering, we were greeted warmly. We were instructed to sit wherever we’d like, so we chose a booth towards the back of the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and gave us time to review the menu. Hubby ordered the Chicken Parm and Stuffed Shells combo, and I ordered the Louie’s Combo (baked ziti, manicotti, and eggplant parm). Both of our meals came with garlic rolls, and a choice of soup or salad. We both ordered the salad. The garlic rolls were very good, and the salads were fresh!

I used to get big Louie’s at least one a week and sometimes even 2 or 3 times a week. They mailed me a coupon for 2 medium 2 topping pizzas for $24.99. When I called to order they tell me that the coupon is now $26.99. I know that it’s a small difference in price but I refuse to give my money to a dishonest business. This is a classic bait and switch tactic. I no longer can recommend them. Very disappointed to see a place I thought was good become dishonest.

Top notch, I’ve been coming to Big Louie’s for probably 25 yrs anytime I’m in the area and it’s always as good as the last visit. Best garlic knots in the country.

I’ve been eating at Big Louie’s for many years and it’s only gotten better. The pizza is great but don’t be afraid to try the classics. Chicken/Veal parm dinner (or sub) is also a great choice. Foods good, nice portions and decent prices.

This is a quintessential “Italian joint” serving up classic Italian fare.

For years I’ve passed this place, years, never went in, even before I lived in Florida and would visit my in laws , would pass it, see it, even think it was kinda neat but not even thought about finding there. Tonite I decided that I’ll give it a shot, went with my whole family, in total 9 of us. Now we’ve been to most of the restaurants in the area and sure there’s some good stuff around but this place was really cozy, the atmosphere was very pleasantly curtailed, there were lots of small details, some cliche, some kitsch, some completely out of place but it all worked, if I was going to film an Italian restaurant this would definitely be one of the locations I’d consider…besides all the scenery, the brass tacks…the food. Good, home style like Nonna made, even if you’re not Italian and don’t know what a Nonna is, it will bring you back to some hill side villa in Tuscany and a memory of a past life you didn’t even know was there, good stuff, specially the pizza. Now to my favorite part…the service, felt like I was at an aunts house, excellent, felt very at home, very familiar even though it was our first time there…the prices were, my god, so reasonable, when we got the check I was sweating cold because my wife had told me from the very beginning to keep my pants on tight because we’re inviting…comes the bill…I don’t even wanna know I’m just putting my hand out with my card and be just like “take my money” but then I opened my eyes and saw the check and I wanted to cry…I seriously wanted to cry, I thought it was 1990…I thought I had time travelled to a time where prices were reasonable and fair for the food you get…but honestly it was better than that because the food and service was worth a lot more but I was very happy with the whole experience, left our waitress 30%, she was excellent, good place to go with the family for some home style Italian. Good place.
