Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, hearty flavorful food made in a timely manner. Be sure to check them out. I’ll definitely be back! I had the Rasta pasta w chicken & shrimp, greens and a soul food plate (jerk chicken over cilantro rice w Mac and greens). Topped it off w a delicious slice of pound cake! We stopped at Jay’s after a full morning at Winton Woods Park. The dining area was clean and bright with beautiful murals on the wall. We ordered the soul food plate, ox tails, and turkey burger and cannot stop talking about how good everything was! My toddlers ate off both our plates! The owners were very kind and you can tell they put their heart into what they do. We will definitely be back!

The only downside to this restaurant is the hours. The food on point, I’ve been twice this week. Service is good, friendly atmosphere, oh I almost forgot. Don’t leave without the sweet potato pound cake. Oh my, what a delicious way to end a tastefully prepared meal from Big Jay’s . Jerk Lamb chops and jerk chicken meals picture posted. Recommend meals.

Been here many times both to eat in and grab food to go. Cozy little spot with a comfortable setting. But the real deal is in the food. Big Jay knows how to burn! The food is flavorful and comforting. Oxtail Friday’s are a must if you can make it in before they run out. Another personal favorite is the Rasta pasta. Don’t sleep on Big Jay’s Place or you’ll be sorry.

Met a colleague for lunch and were overwhelmingly pleased. The owner took care of everything, great service, perfectly seasoned hot food and the dessert should be trademarked because who knew sweet potatoes go in pound cake?!

I had the Caribbean plate with chicken and it was great. Spices were right and the hotness wasn’t bothering at least to me. The chicken was tender and well spiced. The portions are well sized and you get a good amount of food. It is not a fancy restaurant so don’t expect a full service. It is very local. They have limited seating so maybe you want to order pickup.
