Wow this place has it All! We stumbled upon this gem of an eatery on 4th of July while we were out on the bike. Stopped in vermilion to check out the water and sites and spotted this place right away. The ambiance was amazing a soda shop with tons of memorabilia. Everyone employed here was smiling, nice, and attentive. Even the young man washing the dishes greeted us when we walked in Kendall was our server and she was amazing! She was sweet and had an infectious smile. We ordered burgers and fries and I can’t go on enough about how good they were. And hot! I don’t think I’ve had food come out so quickly and be that hot. I also had a chocolate malt and it was delicious. The prices were very good under $30 B4 tip. This is definitely a must stop place if you visit Vermilion!.

Highly recommend this Sofa Grill, not only was the food delicious and the service was perfect, but it was so much fun to dine in and listen to old music (70s) and enjoy the memorabilia. The milkshakes are SO good! Honestly, an appetizer and the milkshake would have been enough, because the milkshake is so filling, but that’ll be for next time.

This place, astonishingly, still serves phosphates and malt among other icecream delights. It really is a fun step back in time. I used to go there often in the last millenium. It is nice to see it is still going strong and in someways better than it was then.

Great set of girls rocking out milkshakes! Massive double burgers but the fries weren’t seasoned (we got togo and didn’t think to ask). Overall it’s great place, we’ll definitely be revisiting!

They have some of the best milkshakes in the area! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid to get chocolate milkshakes with my gramma and they’ve constantly been amazing. Ed’s has a very nice family friendly atmosphere

I’ve been here several different times over many years. The food is always tasty comwas tasty, and it’s a fun atmosphere. Today we stopped after a local soccer match and a visit to the beach. It seems the entire staff was under 20 years old, and I think most of them were still in high school. They did a fabulous job of being young professionals, and working as a team. We sat at the counter and I heard each person ask multiple times if another team mate needed any help. Everything was cleaned very quickly when people finished, and they said hello to welcome each person who came in. The guy working the Burger grill was was on point, and my Burger was perfectly medium well. If you’re a local, you probably already know this. This is the place to eat in Vermilion. The food was delicious (Tuesday special with chicken, thank you Madison), the service was very friendly, welcoming and fun thanks to Lisa and Betty, the prices are fair. It’s at the main intersection of town. Just go!
