The corn fritters and pork loin combo plate was SUPER!! Crinkle fries are made JUST PERFECT. Lemonade is so delicious. Fun atmosphere with “tin shack roofs” over some booths! Love the banana pudding too. Very good!! So happy we looked for local restaurants while driving thru Athens and found this gem!!!!

Stopped here on a trip to Tennessee. Good food with the exception of the slaw. More of a sweet store bought slaw than hand made, which I prefer. Chicken strip were good as was husband’s baby back ribs. Fall off the bone tender.

Amazing food. Corn fritters are the best ever. Okra, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, bbq sauce is out of this world good.

Amazing BBQ and incredibly friendly staff. We stopped in with our youth group for lunch headed back to FL from our summer trip. Not only was the food soooo good, the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Everything was accurate for our large order of 15 people and a few of us went back and ordered some extras. (I had to try a few other things). Very clean place and the youth enjoyed Shrek playing on the tv too.

Not been able to get to posting this review in a timely manner but I had the opportunity to try their food when they set-up at the Village Green in Cleveland. Here we go….. I had been awaiting the chance to try this out due to multiple rave reviews from friends and from what I had read. I show up at 10:45 since they were scheduled to be opening at 11:00 and wanted to get there early enough to get a sample of all their core items. I waited and waited and drive around the parking lot looking to make sure I was at the right place. Finally said guess they’re not coming(11:20) and soon as I’m pulling out I catch a glimpse of their trailer pulling in. I circle back around and wait as they set-up everything and place my order (11:45). I was super excited for ribs but they unfortunately did not have ribs at the time so I ordered the brisket, wings, pulled pork, and sausage, with sides of baked beans, slaw, mac n’ cheese, and banana pudding. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the wings since they were frozen so they compensated me the banana pudding for the wait. Now to the food review of the $70 in food. Brisket was very dry with a with nothing to offer that would make me a want to order again, very light smoke and decent flavor. Pulled pork was heavily sauced and was shredded very thin to the point of taking away from the taste of the pork and lacked that bark that makes amazing pulled pork. Sausage was just a run of the mill store bought sausage that was cut into medallions for some reason versus a full link. Slaw was average, mac n’ cheese was bland, and baked beans were mush but had a great flavor. The star of the show was actually the frozen wings that were previously smoked.

You can tell this is a family business as soon as you walk in the door. The smiling faces behind the counter and an honest welcome set the stage for what is to come. Never having been to Big Daddy’s before I told them to give me what they were proud of and they did! I got a family size sample of brisket, pork, ribs, wings, beans and potato salad. While it was all good the ribs and brisket were REALLY good. Those are competition level. The corn fritters are habit forming and probably deserve a review all their own. But as good as all of that was the real star of the show for me was the potato salad! I don’t know how to describe it. I brought home some banana pudding but didn’t get to eat any of it. The kids landed on that stuff like wild dogs.

Best BBQ we have had in a long time. Ribs and pulled pork were so good. Great service, friendly and accommodating staff, all masked up. Super clean, socially distanced seating, (even the rest rooms were immaculate). You have to try the corn fritters and baked beans too. Can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem where the locals eat. We drove over an hour to get there and will definitely do it again.

I stopped in because they had a lot of positive reviews. The brisket was probably the best I had ever had. It was so rich in flavor without being so drownd in seasoning that you couldn’t taste the meat. The baked beans were sweet with bbq sauce and you could taste the beef in it. The corn fritters were also a treat.

We didn’t drive 9 hours from Michigan just for the BBQ at Big Daddy’s, but if we had it would have been worth it. The brisket was moist and flavorful. The ribs were amazing. Mac n cheese was rich and well spiced. And banana pudding was the perfect ending.
