I was very disappointed with this place. The foul language from the older lady who worked in the kitchen was really terrible. I was just glad I had no children with me. That alone is enough that I will not be back. Totally unacceptable. The food was very over priced for the little bit we received. It was not even that good. Nope, will not be back. The decor was nice and was the only good thing about the place.

Bring your appetite and CASH – no credit/debit cards &/or NON-local checks taken – for some delicious food in a down home “homey” environment in this little Spring Valley MN eatery with the same name in the window❣

Consistently great breakfast!! Always cooked to order & the best orange juice. Coffee could be stronger but older folks like weak.

Exactly as most people describe. Nothing fancy but its good. Waitress was great and food was delivered in less then 5 minutes. I had the lunch special and my daughter had the French toast. Lots of puzzles framed on the walls. Nice atmosphere!

We try to get breakfast here at least once while we stay in Forestville State Park. The staff is always welcoming when we go, very friendly service. Homecooked breakfasts, classic small-town diner feel and menu which is what we love it. They keep your coffee cup full and your food is usually out pretty quick and piping hot. It’s relatively inexpensive and the portions are just right. A great fueled breakfast to start our day exploring the outdoors. Recommend highly, we repeatedly visit! PS be sure to bring CASH to pay.

Breakfasts are the best here! Great food, cheap prices. Staff is friendly. Feels like a cafe my grandparents would frequent. People shaking dice, etc… If you want a fancy place, this isn’t it. If you want great food, friendly service, and a very local ambience – this is the place! We go there often for breakfast!

The food is typical small town diner, not great but not bad either. It’s just ok and what you would expect. The service is slow and I’ve definitely had friendlier. A lot of gossiping, also expected in a small town restaurant, along with staring if you no one knows you lol Not the restaurant’s fault tho. Overall it is what you would likely expect in a small town dinner, nothing special.
