Normally I like to visit an establishment a few times before reviewing but due to our excellent service, great food , and cool artwork I wanted to give a tight nod to Bill’s. My daughter and I came for lunch earlier today which allowed us to experience their awesome food. We started with some phenomenal soup then both enjoyed sandwiches & chips which were equally phenomenal. Our server Carol was totally awesome and you can tell the staff there works well as a team. They also had Paul Chase art near our table who is not only a great local artist but an awesome person as well so I was enthralled to see his work there. I look forward to going again next time I am in Galena 🙂

Been there twice. Had Bill’s Eggs Benedict and the Irish Hash? First time, they had run out of scones, so I asked for the chocolate chip cookie. Turns out it had cherries in it, too, by accident. It tasted really good and told the waitress. Now, it is a regular offering.

My fiance and I today took A-day trip, And we decided to stop here for breakfast. We have to say that the food was pretty good for the most part. I don’t know if I would really recommend this place. But to each their own She ordered eggs over easy with hash and cheese. She did say that the egg could have been cooked a little better and the cheese was now melted all the way. I ordered the chorizo burrito and for the most part it was good but the green peppers were not cooked so they were kinda crunchy. The price wasn’t too bad.

Cook doesn’t know how to cook. Two burned pancakes hidden under one good one. Hash browns saturated and sitting in pooled oil. Two stars only because the waitress was excellent.

We were recommended this restaurant by a local and sure glad we stopped here for lunch. Everything was top notch and delicious! Had to try the Beefy Roman and a Club sandwich. Best sandwiches we’ve had in a long time! Also the house-made potato chips are out of this world! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to something on this menu. We’ll be back most definitely.
