I’m a truck driver who was passing through. I love trying places that are locally owned. So I was glad they had a big parking lot to accommodate big trucks.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way home to VT. What a mistake that was. The place is rundown, not very welcoming and the service was so slow we almost left while waiting for the food. It was not busy maybe 2 -3 other couples in the place. The server seemed nice enough but could barely understand her as she mumbles. The menu has no explanation as to what things are. I ordered a BLT and while the sandwich was good the side of fries I got were terrible. No seasoning, overcooked and so greasy. My wife ordered a chicken Patty sandwich although the chicken tasted good. If she didn’t ask for onions (which you have to pay 50 cents for ) it would have been just chicken and a bun. The amount of onions they did put on the sandwich was a lot but No lettuce and it does not state on the menu that you need to ask for it. Maybe our mistake. The wait for these two things was close to a half hour-45 mins I would say.

Service was great! Hand breaded country fried steak, delicious sausage gravy, perfect home fries, and hot coffee. It’s a great way to start the day!

Other online reviews raved about the pie. While I didn’t have any, I don’t feel like I missed out as it looked a bit rough in the dessert case. The place overall was a little rundown feeling, with food from previous guests still on the floor under our table, and a few flies buzzing around. Our food was quite slow to come out likely due to low staffing and while one of our party enjoyed the pancakes, my fish and chips was two small pieces of machine-shaped, flaked and formed, frozen fish fillets. Definitely not the sort of hand battered white fish you’d expect a restaurant to take pride in. The fries however were delicious, hot and tasty skin-on russets. Another of our party had a burger that was okay but nothing remarkable. Our server was friendly and it had a good sort of small town vibe where other guests seem to know and enjoy each other’s company.

Stopped in this morning on the way back from Burlington to get something on the fly. Super friendly people. Had one of the best sausag/egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to stop in the next time i’m passing through and try something to eat in house. Pies looked fantastic.

Simple, good old-fashioned fresh and hot diner fare. My sons and I had a good fill of chicken fried steak, pancakes, French toast, and so many well-made eggs. We happily topped it all with natural maple syrup and their warm and friendly service. Well worth the stop on your journey.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on our way to Vermont. Nice little diner. Seat yourself on the way in. Waitress came right over with menu and asked if we wanted any drinks. Order the 2 eggs over easy, home fries and bacon with wheat toast. 4 pieces of bacon came with the order and was nice and crispy. Other order was 2 eggs and toast. Total bill was $10.00. They had 1 cook, 1 waitress and 1 person doing the dishes and they were able to do a excellent job. They also sell homemade pies. Would stop again.
