First off, I love to support black owned businesses! When you first walk in, it’s awesome. Nice pictures of the owner & etc. The food looked decent, but I didn’t even get that far. The vibe was given Acapulco’s. Ifyky. The problem was, the drinks. They come in little water cups. I had a mimosa, which came in a little plastic cup. Which after given, I was pointed by the bar which had the orange juice and fruit to add to your mimosa. When asked about other cups, waiter said, “That’s all they have”. My mom had a Corona (canned), and it was room temperature. Asked if they had a frosted glass. Told no. We definitely expected better. But given the location, I understand. (Also got lemonade).

First time here and it was great! I was referred by a friend and looked at their reviews and said I’ll give them a try and honestly this place deserves more than a 3.8 out of 5 it deserves a 5 out of 5 stars because the service was like no other, the young lady was super helpful and too care of me and my friends and was super helpful to make sure to get us the right answer for our food. Also the food was honestly worth every bite! From the fries the Big Al’s burger with egg and brisket! It’ll be something I drive an hour again for! Highly recommend if your in the Waxahachie area!

The food was amazing! We had chips & salsa, onion rings, bacon jalapeños and burgers & fries. I have nothing bad to say about the food & atmosphere. The only issue was that there was only one server & she was very busy. Her name is Kinsey & she is super nice and such a hard worker. She could definitely use some help though. There was a couple who walked out because they had to seat themselves & wait for service.

I used to go to the location at uptown & I decided to stop by since I picked up groceries from H‑E‑B. My and fries had no seasoning & food was cold. But the fish my husband ordered was a 10. The coleslaw is a no- no seasoning and taste like nothing, very nasty. Service was good. And if you get a To-Go box, there is a fee.

Appetizers are good. We like the bacon jalapenos and onion rings. Chips and salsa. Burgers are real good, beef patties taste great. Service was a bit of a let down only one serving. Drink cups too small for my taste. Kinsey’s was excellent for amount of guest she had. Thank you. We will be back to try other menu items.

I do a lot of my daily business in Waxahachie and I’ve never tried this place. I know it exists but…. So to get straight to the 4 stars for atmosphere is one of my peves…sweeping and moping floors around my table where IM Eating. And yes this happened here. The place was literally empty at 330 pm and we decided to give it a try. As soon as we got our food, the keeper started sweeping around our area…with authority! He made sure to get every spec off the floor which causes dust to fly up in the air and around the immediate area and can fall on our food and drinks. I had to tell him to Stop, that we are eating and to finish his cleaning later. Sorry but this usually gets bad reviews by anyone. NEVER CLEAN THE FLOORS WHILE PATRONS ARE EATING. Unless it’s a spill, that’s understandable. But he could have started way on the other side of the restaurant but he went right around us. He apologized and it was done. So…now the 5 stars…the cheeseburger was sloppy good, not great. Meat needed the wow spices. The fries were great. My better half had the Lemmon pepper wings. She was disappointed at the first few bites….no Lemmon pepper taste. But the staff saved the day when they brought her a cup of dry rub Lemmon pepper for HER to put on her own food. But she sprinkled it in her ranch dressing, dipped her wing in the dip and MAGIC!!! She then said, “This Taste Combo is Better Than Wingst….” and she smiled. She gave this food a and said it was great!!! I was thrilled that she was thrilled. 9th inning, bases loaded and losing……then grandslam! Way to save the day Big Al’s. Would highly recommend this place. Bet this place is Booming after hours.

If you like fun, music, good drinks and good food. Definitely make it to downtown waxahachie Texas to Big Al’s down the hatch. Weekend nights they have live bands that are off the hook.
