This place is awesome. We went in for the first time and they explained the menu and we got to try samples of their soups (both the potato soup and the Maryland crab soup). They were so delicious! We ordered the club and Reuben, as our sides we got potato salad and sweet potato puddin. Everything was super flavorful and fresh, but the sweet potatoes were really what stood out to me. The sandwiches were packaged perfectly in little boxes, and they came with a pickle and a mint. I can’t wait to go in and try their baked goods next.

I’ve gotten food from Between the Bread Cafe twice and it was wonderful. The first time was for take out (3 sandwiches with sides), and the second for catering (catering for 10 people with sandwiches, sides, and dessert tray). The food was consistently delicious and enjoyed by everyone 3 years old – 89 years old. The portions are big. The veggie sandwich with Swiss cheese and chocolate chip pecan cookies are chef’s kiss. I appreciate their hospitality and willingness to cater to toddlers’ and grandparents’ taste (catering was for a 3 yr old’s party).

Popped in for the first time yesterday to grab a quick sandwich for lunch. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. I chatted quite a bit with the staff while I was waiting for my food. Loved the vibe! The cafe is clean and cozy. There is space to sit and enjoy a sandwich if you would like but I ordered food to go. I got the Reuben on marble rye with potato salad, sweet potato pudding and lemonade. Everything was delicious and I had more than enough left over for dinner. I’ll be visiting again.

Great to have a sandwich shop in downtown Hyattsville for an easy lunch option! Shrimp salad sandwich is delicious, and the mustard-based potato salad is very good too. They make the best arnold palmer I have ever had – I don’t even understand why it is so good. Desserts are also solid. Easy to order online, but at least once go in person! Renata is so welcoming and they are generous with samples.

First experience. My husband and I ordered Chicken Salad sandwiches which was delicious and the potato salad was awesome (spicy, tangy & sweet). Still trying to figure out all of the ingredients so I can replicate. They gave us a generous serving of peach cobbler on the house. I haven’t tasted it yet but it looks yummy. Saving it for dinner dessert. Finally we have another place to eat in the neighborhood besides BB&P and Franklins. They will definitely see more of us!

At home feeling. The decor fits you’re gonna wanna come back. I had chicken salad on wheat for lunch & had too get the deluxe seafood bowl for my Wednesday evening dinner and don’t talk about deserts, got 2 the peach cobbler & the coconut cake, the choices are many, All are Great.

the family that owns this place is super welcoming and kind. i ordered the shrimp salad sandwich which was amazing! you get big pieces of shrimp that make the sandwich well worth the price. the arnold parmer was also delicious, i would just recommend ordering with extra ice!
