We’ve driven pass Beto’s Grill dozens of times the over the years and finally decided to try it for dinner (08/2023). The inside is bright and seemed pretty clean. We were seated right away and the server took our drink order right away and had the drinks there quickly. After that, however, we found ourselves sitting and waiting for our waiter to finally show up after being there for 15 minutes. There were plenty of waitstaff and management moving around on the floor, but the only employee that noticed we were waiting to order was the door attendant. We went ahead and ordered a couple appetizers even though we knew they might arrive at the same time as our food. We ordered the Stuffed Jalapenos ($9), and though they did arrive before our meal, there were only two of them. In most Mexican restaurants you would get at least four stuffed jalapenos for that price. The jalapenos were just “okay” not worth the price. The second appetizer was the case so which was very watery and without any flavor. Only the kids at the table enjoyed it. We try the beef & chicken fajitas and a few other chicken dishes. The verdict was the same across the board; the food was “okay” but there wasn’t a single dish that anyone thought we should come back and have again. The environment, although pleasant, is extremely loud. All conversations from every table echo across the restaurant. Not a great place for a quiet date. Even though it wasn’t a terrible experience, we probably won’t eat here again unless somebody invites us and is paying our way.

I’ve been wanting to stop here for years, so glad I did. The food was amazing and very affordable. Give it a try if you’re ever in the area, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve lived in the area since Beto’s grill opened and only tried it today. Judging by the dishes I had, I have been missing out. The wife and I went for lunch. Restaurant was not crowded and we were immediately served. They serve warm salsa with the chips and their salsa is a medium heat. Flavor was good and chips were good. For appetizer we tried the stuffed jalapeños with fajita beef. We were pleased and I would have them again. For entrees I had Don Mario’s Meatloaf and my wife had Fajita Mole enchiladas. The meatloaf was excellent. The fried plums and spinach in the center gave a touch of flavor and sweetness to contrast the ground beef and bacon. The poblano mashed potatoes were fantastic. Mashed potatoes with the light flavor of poblano pepper and a little lime gave it a zing! I enjoyed every bite and even had a few combining the potatoes with the meatloaf and plums. The mole enchiladas were also good the Mole was not too dark so it gave a light warm chocolate flavor. Not overpowering but it was definitely there. Prices were very fair and portion sizes were large. We thought it was a good value meal and will definitely go back.

I had the best Carne Guisada so far that I’ve found in Houston. The portions are large, the seasoning is perfect, and the overall experience was great!!

I feel that every time we come here the food is better than the last visit. My review today is for just that, how great today’s dinner was. The ceviche was so fresh with lots of fish and a great tangy lime flavor, best I have had in a while.

I pass this place every now and then and each time I say that I am going to stop, this time I finally did! I came here with my fiancé during the afternoon, so I expected a very clean laid-back atmosphere. The place was clean, low on customers due to the time, clean bathrooms and while my waiter wasn’t hoovering, he came back to make sure we were good. As for the food this was a great meal, the prices were reasonable, and food was yummy. I have become obsessed with Chambord frozen margaritas, haven’t tried it ask for a Chambord shot in your frozen margarita you won’t regret it, especially if you think a frozen margarita is a bit too sweet. I also mixed up my order, normally I do some sort of semi-keto fajita meat meal. This time I ordered Chicken Poblano with asparagus and poblano mashed potatoes. I was not disappointed; however, I didn’t like my asparagus that much but that was preference, and my fiancé stole them all! I have to say as an afternoon date this place was awesome, we will be back for sure.

Disappointing. Our waiter was clearly having issues and trying to get our server in trouble so the tension between them wasn’t a good start to our dining experience. The menu is not descriptive enough and inaccurate so ordering wasn’t easy for me. I went with a safe choice, “Carnitas”, I’ve ordered this dish countless of times from other neighboring Mexican joints so I figured It would be a good way to compare. I only got 4 PIECES of meat, my boyfriend and I stared at each other in shock when the plate arrived. I was close to asking if I could order another portion of just meat at that point considering it was actually really tasty and tender. Just a shame there was so little of it.
