Was a bit shocked when I read other reviews. This is some really good Jamaican food and that’s coming from someone who was born and raised in Jamaica. The server was very polite and broke down the prices well. It was my first time going in there and I have to say, I will be going again. The food is cooked and spiced nicely. I do understand tho, that some people can’t handle spice. So maybe for stuff like curry chicken/curry goat, have a spicy and a non spicy option. Beside that, the food is good, clean place and nice customer service.

Ordered brown stew chicken. The lady who answered was polite. Large portion size, yet food was spicy with no real taste. I also made specific request to my order which I was charged for but didn’t get. Not the absolute worst, however, unlikely I’ll order here again.

The way this business is ran is very unprofessional. My colleague and I called about 2 weeks ago to place two orders for lunch while at work. We called to find out the status of our food and the lady who answers the phone stated that her delivery driver was on his way back to the restaurant & he would then head over to our office. Another 45 minutes passed by and we called again and she apologized then stated that she didn’t know where the delivery driver was. We then tried to cancel the order because at this point it was over 3 hours waiting for our food, but the lady mentioned she wasn’t authorized to do so that she had to speak with the owner to get the authorization. She then called us back to state the owner is going to personally bring the food to us, but at this point we were highly upset and just wanted to cancel, but still tried convincing us not to. The owner then said we can deliver the food and honor a free meal for the next time we order. My colleague and I agreed, but we asked for 2 free meals instead for receiving our food at 4pm when we had ordered about 12:30pm. Fast forward to today we tried calling back to place an order for our 2 free meals plus our other colleagues were going to place an order as well which we intended to pay for. That didn’t go as planned because the owner had offered us 2 free meals and stated that as long as they are not both oxtails that it was fine, so today they changed their stories. They now said he never said that, the free meals either had to be curry or stew, which he never said! So moving forward my colleagues and I, which is an office of about 10-15 people, will no longer conduct business with them ever again! We thank Mr Booth for referring us to this place, but at the end of it very disappointing. If you’re taking lunch and planning to order from don’t waste your time and money! They are not people of word and scum!

Overall, I know I won’t return. I think the lady at the registered was unattentive to us. The food was not good and way to salty.

I have one issue with this place. The food is good. I went twice in one week and both times I had curried chicken w/ rice & peas. The first time it was not spicy and delicious. The second time I’m not sure if it was the rice or curried chicken that was quite spicy. Consistency is important. Not everyone likes spice and I would have hated to suggested it to someone because previously it was not spicy and then they got spicy food because I told them it wasn’t spicy. I was a huge fan of the jerk chicken. I love a good jerk chicken but this one was ok. The wait was very long. Only one counter person. I was next in line and I waited almost 20 minutes to be served (no exaggeration.)

First let me say the food here is great and it was my first choice for a long time. But the cashiers are thieves and will repeatedly rip you off without batting an eye. Three times they have double charged me and over charged for food I didn’t even order. They are rude when you tell them they’re making a mistake and try to rush you out. This is not good for business.

Really really delicious food! I’ve eaten a lot of Jamaican food and this place is so good. Portions are great and there is a good variety. We had brown stew fish, broad beans, curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage – all phenomenal. I liked too that they understood that I don’t eat meat and served me up a generous container of vegetables and beans.

Firstly, This place won’t get another dime out of me. The way they correct you for mispronouncing something on the menu is hilarious and kind of ridiculous. All I said was corn porridge instead of CORNMEAL porridge and lawd the way “Chef” open his mouth to correct me, while the young lady serving the food rolled her eyes so far back in head, all I could do was chuckle to myself.

I love the food from this place plus is the only decent Jamaican food rest in the area of Yonkers but I feel like the amount they serve is not enough for what you pay even if you order a large you end up getting like a medium, also they should add more coconut to their coconut rice because honestly it taste plain. Oxtail is really good by the way.

The oxtail sauce is maaaadd sweet like why?? And they didn’t even have the courtesy to call me and edit my order when they didn’t have a side I requested. So not worth the money.
