First of all, I have to tell you that this is a take-out only pizza place. Long-time residents will remember Bernie’s Pizza as an actual sit-down restaurant, but that closed in 2015. This take out venue, I understand, is the same pizza recipe. We lived in Millard for almost 25 years, and I regret we never dined there. While we waited half an hour for our pizza, (You, knowing that this is take-out only, will call in your order ahead of time and be given a suggested pick-up time), we ordered garlic cheese bread. It was phenomenal, made from freshly homemade bread. We took some home as well, but I would love to see Bernie’s as a sit-down restaurant again, if just to enjoy that bread hot out of the kitchen. There is a low couch to sit on while you wait for your order. The pizza is a thick bread-like crust, and our Bernie’s Supreme was piled high with toppings. On Google Maps, you will find other entries for Bernie’s, but those are outdated and wrong. This is the place you’re looking for.

Just like the old Bernie’s we all knew and loved. Ordered the supreme and was supremely happy. Came out piping hot. Great fresh topping and a crisp delicious crust. The sauce is good and flavorful. This place is a hidden Millard staple that needs to be spread around for all to enjoy. So delicious!!! Thank you for keeping up the tradition of good Bernie’s pizza in millard.

This place is the best pizza place in Omaha! Found this golden nugget and are so happy we did. We won’t be going anywhere else. The pizzas are high quality and perfectly proportioned. The service is unmatched. Highly recommend! If I could give 10 stars I would. Trying the apple pie next time, they have slice the apples there! Brownies are delicious!

We ordered pizza from Bernie’s last week for the first time. We ordered a small cheese and a medium sausage. The order was ready in 30 minutes. Parking was right in front of the door, business is small but clean. The girl At the front counter was very courteous and even gave me a 10% discount since it was our fist visit. Tried this place for the first time tonight. I ordered a large cheese pizza and a large meatball pizza. As the woman (the owner I assume?) was bringing me my order she told me that this was “an exceptional batch of meatballs” and described how she hand makes them from scratch. She was not exaggerating – the meatballs were exceptional! We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

After reading some online reviews, I knew I had to try Bernie’s on a recent visit to Omaha. As other reviewers have said, it is carry out only. The online menu has some specialties listed, so I decided to try the meatball pizza. DELISH!! Highly recommend. Also got the apple dessert pizza and it was SO good, but so thick and rich I barely had any appetite left to eat it. Maybe a great breakfast tomorrow! If you’re in Omaha and want to try a local pizza, don’t miss Bernie’s!

Some places just deserve a 5. This is one of them. Carry out only but that’s ok. Just gives you more time to enjoy it without feeling rushed to leave a busy restaurant. We ordered 4 different ones for a party and meat lovers was over the top but pepperoni, supreme and cheese were great too. Crust is not cracker thin, and not thick, but a nice substantial hand tossed type. Give this place a try. It will not disappoint!

Different from a lot of pizza joints in town. Very good sauce light on cheese heavy on toppings this is a pan crust type pizza so very similar to a deep dish so if you are a thin crust pizza person you will probably not like this pizza pictured below Supreme- islander – hamburger- Apple pie dessert pizza which was delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top because the crust is thick the slices will go along way Note – this is Take out only

Pure awesomeness! This place is a hidden gem that everyone should visit at least once! Old school pizza without any gimmicks or shortcuts! Yes – the toppings are piled on high! Yes – they bake their own bread for the cheese bread and the garlic bread! Yes – those are real apples on the dessert pizza!
