While in PA I got this spot for lunch. I ordered the mussels and pasta meal. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked in and told the man my name and my food was ready. I paid and left. When I got in I dug in. The mussels were huge and they weren’t bad tasting the sauce and the pasta were just ok. Nothing too special about it. All in all I had an ok experience.

Very nice shop and people, but to those who described the pizza as “the closest to Brooklyn Pizza”, I beg to differ. Very little sauce and what sauce is there isn’t anything special. The cheese is good, not great. The toppings are pretty good, but since I eat mine plain, the little amount of bland sauce is glaring.

Cute little family owned pizza and pasta restaurant. The home made lasagna and salad (home made dressing) was absolutely delicious! Service was very nice too, and prices are very reasonable. Love this place, and will come back again for sure.

Food used to be great. Lately it’s been hit and miss. Portions of the food we ordered were forgot, some of the food (French fries) were cold and no one touched them, even our 2 year old. The bread of an Italian hoagie was tough and chewy and mostly lettuce and onion with a few pieces of meat and cheese. Just not worth the price for such poor quality. We’ll be finding a new regular place for pizza night.

My friends and I stopped at Benvenuto after several hours of hiking in the Delaware Water Gap park. It’s a small pizzeria on a fairly busy street. There’s plenty of indoor seating and available meter parking on the street. The service was okay and the staff seemed friendly enough. We got a few garlic knots to share and everyone got some slices. The garlic knots were superb and very flavorful and fluffy. The sauce was also very good. The pizza, however, could have been better. There was a clear over-reliance on oregano and Italian seasoning to cover the lack of flavor. The base wasn’t very crispy and seemed slightly undercooked and gummy. The pepperoni was oily and wasn’t really great (but perhaps I’m just used to more crispy, spicy pepperoni). The crust lacked imagination and flavor, not being well defined as crispy nor fluffy. It was somewhere in between. I wish the same sauce I had for the garlic knots was more liberally applied to the pizza as it would have made up for some of the deficiencies.

Been recovering and someone bought me a dinner and had it delivered to my house. Chicken and penne was great though I supplied my own sauce. Must have got lost/overlooked somehow. Soup, meatball mozzarella sandwich and cheesecake were good, but I went for the garlic bread first and could not eat it. Tasted like industrial garlic flavored glaze was brushed on it. This dish is a treat most places, and it needs work.
