Benoit is a lovely French restaurant with delicious food. The staff and service was great the night we were there. We love that they serve delicious bread. They really paid attention to the presentation of our food. We were very impressed. I would suggest a reservation to make sure you get a seat.

Have eaten at Benoit at least a dozen times over the years. It’s by far the best French Cafe style restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. The food and service have always been amazing, I also love dining in the bar area. If you’re looking for a French Bistro type place in Midtown, it doesn’t get any better than Benoit.

It was my first dining experience at Benoit and it was amazing to say the least. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. It was reminiscent of the bistros in Paris and I was beyond happy to dine in such a spot.

Just had the most amazing meal, excellent service, and a beautiful outdoor setting. This is absolutely not pricey, compared to others it was reasonable but way over the top on “gourmet”. I had the duck, my wife the chicken and both were fantastic. Dessert was the pistachio soufflé. You can not get a better meal for double the price. Waiter was excellent and super attentive.

Benoit New York is a contemporary French bistro by Alain Ducasse. The restaurant retains traditional French bistro elements, such as the signature red velvet banquettes. We were very enjoyed the bread and butter, bread is the key, which is very important for us. One of the best bread we’ve ever had in Manhattan. Our wonderful dinner reminds us of Paris. Benoit New York identity as an authentic Parisian bistro with a New York sensibility undoubtedly.

Benoit is transporting, making you feel as though you are in an upscale Parisian bistro in the best ways, but it does come at a cost financially. For us it’s a splurge, but in this city there are many for whom it’s not. If you can afford it, we found it to be well worth it.

Popped in to have a glass of wine, and some nibbles (had a hankering for pommes frites and escargot) — arrived around 4:15pm, and was told the menu was limited, so I was more than happy to grab a glass of wine and pommes frites, and wait until 5pm when the menu switched over to dinner. The waiter was extremely discourteous, and simply never came back to check anything or ask if I wanted another glass of wine.

If Paris isn’t on the agenda, Benoit will take you there for a couple hours. The ambiance is of a Charming Parisian cafe, the food is pure bistro and the service attentive and pleasant.

The food was fantastic. Great service and one of the most friendly sommeliers we’ve encounter. Would definitely recommend to visit Benoit
