Great spot to watch the game with a lively crowd around to hangout and hang. So many tvs around which is the perfect place to watch any big tv programming. But the food is so so — it’s not great but filling. I got the bbq wings and fries, it was something to fill me up but not satisfying.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when we could not get a table somewhere else. Turned out to be a great choice. We easily got a table upstairs so we could see multiple tv screens and people watch. I had the Barbacoa Bowl with a Raspberry Margarita which hit the spot. Will drop in again when in the area. Service was good.

I moved to Chicago about two years ago now and have always gotten recommendations to go into Old Town and I have checked out a few bars in the area with my friends but my favorite is Benchmark! It has an upstairs with a ceiling that opens up on a nice summer day and with friendly bartenders and servers. The food is amazing I love the nachos and when going out with my friends we share a GIANT mule bowl definitely worth the price! Later at night they move the chairs and tables to give it more of a bar feeling, Benchmark is definitely a spot to go to in Old Town!

Original review: The bartenders will change the prices of drinks based on who they’re serving. One vodka soda was $15- insane. When I brought it up to another bartender, she said I was overcharged but made a big deal out of refunding me $2.

Went there this past Sunday. I’ve gone to Benchmark on 3 other occasions and it was such an amazing and lively time. With food being actually good, atmosphere loud and fun, and service being okay because of how busy it was. This time around… I honestly would reconsider going there again. The previous brunch menus has a variation of food options that both vegetarians and non-vegetarians could enjoy, this time around the menu was disappointing. My partner had order just ab omelet and breakfast potatoes. I ordered the tater tot poutine. When we got the food, his breakfast potatoes turned to hash brown. We assumed it was by mistake and just asked the waitress. He had asked if they still were servicing breakfast potatoes prior to ordering it. She said yes. Hashbrowns aren’t breakfast potatoes. My food was decent, little to no seasoning. In the 1.5 hours we were there… we saw 2 groups of 6 people just get up and leave due to how limited the food options were. I’m not complaining about the serve because she was on it, I mean with how little tables were actually occupied she was able to he attentive to everyone.
