Pricey! Quality has also gone downhill. I recently purchased the mushroom Swiss burger that was lazily constructed. The mushrooms were dry and loose rather than melted into the cheese. Fries were decent but also pricey. For burgers, stick to BK just across the street at a third of the price.

My pregnant wife was craving some hot dogs and chili cheese fries so we hit the drive-thru and got exactly what was expected. No frills, down and dirty type hot dogs. Got a few pickles on the side. It wasn’t cheap though so it’s more of a 4.5. I’d come here again if I was craving a hot dog.

I haven’t been to Ben Frank’s in a while. The milkshake we ordered was delicious. I wouldn’t recommend the pastrami burger but I thought the fries were pretty good and the service was ok too…very friendly.

Ben Frank’s is Redwood City staple! I always go for a Polish and have to make sure to add sauerkraut and onions. The Chicago dog is always a good choice, and you have to add an order of Large Fries! They always pile up the fries and they are piping hit when you get em. They have a very small area if you would like to park and eat, but I always grab & go.

They do good hot dogs…that’s what they do. Stay away from just about everything else on the menu. My last visit I ordered a “Pastrami Ruben” & it was the saddest sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I was served on a hot dog bun with more Sauerkraut then meat…with American cheese….Gross…

If you like Wienerschnizel do yourself a favor and go to Ben Frank’s for a chili dog. It’s like fast food, but with great quality dogs. I love that snap when you bite into them. Other family favorites are the Chicago dog, chicken cheesesteak, the hot link, onion chips.

Usually this place is reliable. But last night my corn dog was raw in the middle – uncooked cornmeal and the hot dog was cool. Inedible. I’ve never seen so much grease on the onion chips bag. The milkshake was frozen solid, so ate that with a spoon (still tasty!) Still up at 3am with pepto and saltines, hoping to get some sleep.
