Belly is a good restaurant!! Don’t let earlier reviews keep you from trying this restaurant. The Asian style food was very tasty. The interior is modern and decorated with large abstract art along the walls. There is a long bar with plenty of available seating. The Crispy Soft Shell Bao Buns were an instant success. I recommend giving them a try.

Don’t know what’s up with the low reviews on here because this place is awesome! If you’re looking for a great date night without traveling to Scottsdale or downtown Phoenix then check this place out. We had the braised short rib, spring rolls and crab crepe and we’d recommend them all. Best spring rolls I’ve ever had. Vibe was a good mix of upscale, modern and casual. And service was out of this world! Can’t wait to be back.

I want to start off and say the first thing I noticed about this place was the chic atmosphere. They were playing some good hip-hop modern mix. My favorite thing also is that they have mineral seltzer water on the table Pellegrino, for crispy self serve drink. When the bottle runs out they replace it.

I wish I had taken more pictures to convey both the amount and variety of food our party of 6 got this weekend We tried everything from the fried spring rolls, crispy chicken, to the crab bao buns, pork shoulder, orange chicken, shrimp cocktail, drinks and sticky rice for desert. Holy cow was it all SO good and so much for these 6 adults.

Spent the evening with my friends this Saturday at Belly Gilbert and let me tell you, were not disappointed. Absolutely loved everything that we had, the tapas style menu allowed us to try multiple dishes which we all shared and enjoyed! My favorite had to the fiery braised jackfruit with a side of rice. Great vegan options this simple menu, great drinks. Excellent staff and service, would highly recommend. Even if you are in the west valley or north phoenix it’s definitely worth the drive.

I was so excited to try try this place when it opened. When we got there the staff was polite and seated us right away. The server was very nice. The food was a hit and miss. The pork and green mustard friend rice was decent. The rest was ok to not so good. The chicken thighs on skewers were way too salty and almost half of it was completely charred and was not edible. The half of fried chicken was also way too salty. I had to remove all the breading just to be able to eat it. This dish felt like the chef put a cup of salt on it. The grilled street corn, on the other hand, was way too sweet. I am talking about the total opposite here. Like add a cup of sugar on it. Service was fine. May be they have a bad day in the kitchen but it was really hard for me to finish.

I would recommend getting a reservation on the weekend. We arrived about 5:30pm on a Friday without a reservation and were offered outside seating which was fine because they had heaters. We ordered the Grilled Street Corn as an appetizer which was very good and then we shared the Pho Ga and a 1/2 Fried Chicken. We enjoyed everything and look forward to returning and trying other dishes.

I love the food here. Drinks are GREAT! But the service is trash. I’ve been here a few times. Never received a “hello! I’ll be with you on a minute”. I will literally wait 10+ minutes before someone acknowledges. Funny thing is, it’s never really busy. I’m assuming short staff but they sure need customer service training of some sort to at least assure customers they are seen and will be accommodated asap.
