Michael P.’s review and all the other raving reviews are spot on, so I copied some of their words. The service is very friendly, but it is more than that. They truly care about your full satisfaction, that’s not even the right word, true joy and happiness is what they want for you. . The staff makes you feel like you have been eating their all your life. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a small family environment. If I could rate Bell’s any higher than 5 stars I would give it a rating of 10 stars. Laura and Dimitri are amazing!

We were pleasantly surprised by how great the food was here. All the staff was very kind and welcoming also. If you drive that way, I’d recommend it as a good place to stop and get a bite.

First time here. This place was great! Service was friendly and attentive. Food was beyond delicious and reasonably priced. We may start making the drive from Grand Rapids more often.

I am a very tough critic of food and restaurants especially of a Reuben sandwich. I have only found two restaurants that their reuben sandwich was considered excellent and the brisket was established and not like shoe leather. Bell’s Colonial Resturant has cooked the brisket till it literally melts in your mouth. The service is very friendly , the staff makes you feel like you have been eating their all you life. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a small family environment. If I could rate Bell’s any higher than 5 stars I would give it a rating of 10 stars.

We’ve eating here a few times. Waited over an hour for our breakfast food for just 2 of us. So we figured we would try to order it take out instead. They did a decent job the first time. But today was horrible. Mom’s omelet was missing 3 of the requested items. Finances meal was a disaster. He ordered a skillet and specified everything he wanted in it but they forgot 2 items. And my scrambled eggs were burn with barely any cheese as u can see in the pic I attached. This staff is running this place into the ground. The people taking the orders need to get all the details and the cooks need to take pride in what they’re doing and do it right. Probably won’t be going back. They are 1 for 5 with us. It’s a shame. We are locals.

Stopped for lunch with my 10 year old grandson today. We both had the 5oz burger and fries with root beer. We both agreed that the food exceeded our expectations and Laura topped it off with great service and a welcoming personality.

I’ve been going here for 25 years. My favorite thing is the Friday fish fry. I was hoping they hadn’t changed much since being under new ownership. The food was great. The service was excellent. The french fries were really really good. The fish was cooked perfectly; the server kept bringing around fish for all you can eat. I will say the salad seemed small and was on a small plate. The smaller the plate you put a salad on the smaller it will look. I felt like my small plate could hardly contain my small salad. I just figured the more salad you feed people before fish the less fish you have to feed them. The same with bread they used to serve with the fish dinner. The more bread people have the less fish they’ll eat. And everyone at my table commented that the fish batter was noticeably salty with a pinch too much salt, not enough to make it bad. Yes the well water is as it always was.
