This restaurant is located inside the Old Port Cove Community, and you can’t go unless you’re invited or you’re a member.

Good food, less than stellar service. It could have been that our waitress was underage or hadn’t been trained properly but she didn’t know cocktail protocols or certain information about drinks (like a martini or cosmo). The food came out quickly and overall was good. Here’s the run down –

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The water and marina view is so pretty and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Our food was delicious. The N. Palm Beach salad was beautifully presented, the beet salad had a surprise of refreshing citrus, the lobster roll with its generous amount of lobster was perfectly prepared on its toasted bun served along with crispy fries. Don’t forget to order Chef Eder’s special dessert! A chocolate chip cookie served warm in a skillet, topped with a touch of salt and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle – to die for!

Why I give it 2 stars, this is private and apparently NOT open to the public.

This place falls right into my #just_off_the_path_places. Alan puts together a great dish of water side food the atmosphere feel like it should cost more with the water the boats

Wait staff was excellent. Food not so much. Steak was defiantly not Grade A, gravy and mushrooms tasted like canned. Beef had zero flavour. North palm salad had no crab or avocado. Roast beef had no flavour.

Sandpiper Cove which is now Belle’s Bar & Grill. Safe Harbor Marinas has taken a beautiful restaurant- Samdpiper Cove and turned in to a cold, uninviting Bar and Grill (Grays, Whites and Black) with mediocre food. Mostly high top bar height tables which are difficult for the Old Port Cove residents who are mostly 65 and older. Extremely ugly back and white painted floor with an ugly stain floor modeled after their famous belle’s in Newport Rhode Island. That floor is mostly outside on a dock. No more events such as weddings which were always a huge success and got 5 star reviews. No more Monday night Trivia which was always full and a big success. Whoever came up with this concept did not take into consideration the demographics/age of Old Port Cove residents. This is a gated community. The one plus is that they did keep, mostly, the old staff.

First, the view of the marina, Lake Worth and the anchorage is spectacular. And the food is good. There are rooms for weddings and other events. Happy hour is so popular they are going to stretch the bar several feet. The menu leans on seafood. Lots of crab, lobster and local catch.

The sauce is great, spicy but light. The mussels are very clean but tasted like frozen, tough. Friendly staff
