It all started from 2 hard working foodies collaborating on a new concept. We feel there is room to improve the floor and tenderness of chicken. So we dug deep, we stirred the pot. After trial and error, we enhanced the spicy chicken tenders. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, the outside is a spicy crunch that leaves your mouth watering and wanting more.

I feel so disrespected…………………………………that this food was so dang delicious. I had to double back on the Mac n Cheese (guilty admission ). I also ordered a catfish plate. It was also very delicious (a bit salty but still flavorful). Any place that can do sides correctly, will slam dunk your taste buds for main entrees. Everytime I come to Detroit to visit my peoples, I’m definitely gone have to slide through Bella’s.

I came in to order for my first time a few minutes before they closed and the cook is an absolute joke. Repeatedly yelling and cussing in a different language .He also has no care for people’s food throwing it all over the place. He also got upset my order is complicated. He probably just wanted to go home but that’s no way of treating customer spending their money. The lady on the register was a great person kudos to her .

Ordered number 10 Bella wings and They were disgusting, overly salty, and nothing more than Coney Island wings rebranded. I paired it with the potato salad; the salad was overly creamy with a distict taste like there may have been cheese added. It’s an understatement to say I feel tricked and dissatisfied. Our normal chicken and waffle spot so happened to be closed, and we stumbled upon Bella’s chicken and waffles, and this was the best find! The sugar pearl waffle is thee best and the chicken was just so perfectly fried and juicy!!! This is now going to be our new norm chicken and waffles spot! 5 stars hands down! The only down fall is there no sitting options, but it’s still worth 5 stars!

I visited yesterday and ordered the chicken & waffles for a friend and myself. Even though I would have preferred the waffle to be a little bigger, the meal was delicious. Everything was cooked well and I loved kick of the maple sriracha syrup! We’ll be back!

Visiting from out of state and my grandma really wanted chicken and waffles. Ordered delivery; two orders of chicken and waffles; one order had chicken tenders, the other had whole chicken wings. Also ordered Mac n cheese and green beans; they were out of the peach cobbler. The green beans were really bad. I could not finish them. The mac n cheese was not good either. The sugar pearl waffle was soooo yum, but it was 1/3 the size of the red velvet waffle. The red velvet waffle was too bitter. We didn’t get a side of syrup, it was drizzled on for us. The chicken/tenders was also juicy and flavorful; really good. Overall, I would not recommend this place because most of the food was not that good.
