The King’s Matter
Flavor is the best! I love the sauce. However, all this sausage from just a couple slices is way too much. This is a mountains of meat. Lots of mushrooms too. Minimal amounts spinach and moderare green peppers. I would rather have more vegetables and less meat. Still one of my top two favorite pizza places. This location just needs to tone it down on the sausage. My arteries and digestive system would appreciate that.

I bought a deep dish pizza twice, the first time I thought I made a mistake and did not order sausage on it,so I didn’t say anything the second time I ordered it with sausage made sure of it. Still could barely find meat on it. I think for almost forty dollars it should have chunks of meat like home run inn. I mean come on this is a deep dish if I wanted just cheese and sauce I would have ordered a cheese pizza. Do better!!.

Take out pizza from Beggars is always a treat. They have a gluten free pizza with a perfect crust. Highly recommend it. While waiting, you can check out their slots. It is take out, so there no seating inside.

I’m not sure if you are taking the tag line too seriously but its laid on too thick. This was a personal thin crust pepperoni pizza. The cheese layer is way too thick. It’s borderline Detroit style pizza. This is my second experience with a slice the exact same way. They need to be retrain on how to make beggars signature pizza. What they are serving is not it.

Service has gotten better. There was a blonde girl who had the biggest attitude every time I’d puck my order. It was not a difficult order either. She just was mean, never smiled, and acted as if I had invaded her space. Not a people person at all. No thank yous, but you could count a grunt eye roll and the look of disgust.

I want to start by saying I love beggars! I’ve ordered from a few of there locations. New Lenox was my go to before this location opened. I’ve also ordered from Plainfield which was very good as well. The Crest Hill location is just not as good, as of now. I am reasonable and realize this is a new location and it might take time for them to train everyone and get up to speed. I always order Thick crust and they aren’t as thick as the other locations and the bottom crispy part falls off as if the dough wasn’t sealed together (picture below). It also seems smaller then other locations like they use less dough. Everything else is great, they are generous with there toppings and the cheese is always nice and thick! I will order from New Lenox next time and try them again in a month or so.
