I stopped here about 2pm. I looked like a hot mess, was ravenous, and was fatigued. I had money stopped on my bank card because of a problem.I entered the store with two slices of sausage pizza in my cart and a wallet full of loose change. Taking my order was Mike. He was patient and incredibly kind. He was also friendly and professional. My experience with Downers Grove’s customer service has never been better than this.I am very grateful to him.This kind of customer service made me feel good after such a terrible, exhausting day. There is no doubt that I will urge people to visit this place. You’re awesome, Mike, and I appreciate it. I appreciate you, Jenna, as you were quite helpful when I called. Keep up this great service! REALLY enjoyed this last night. As a foodie, we eat out almost every night with pizza a favorite. Well Beggars is a hidden gem! Perfect taste and they put more toppings on than any pizza place around. Fantastic!!! Taste was simply the best thin we’ve had.

I had a taste for Italian beef and since my usual place was closed, thought I would try Beggar’s based on a review and its close proximity. I ordered an Italian beef sandwich with au jus and sweet peppers, and an order of fries. The beef was tasteless and dry, the sweet peppers undercooked, and the fries were overprocessed, skinny and oversalted. The price for a sandwich and fries: $17.49.
