What an unexpected place to have a really great pizza. This was not quite a NYC or Chicago pie but quite enjoyable after a days drive in the mountains. Staff was nice and service prompt. The building was a tad on the warm side but at 4000 ft in the mountains, AC is something they may only need a couple of days a year. (Today it was almost 90°). Definitely worth a stop!!

Very cool mountain bar with some rich history! My husband and I stayed at this bar in our RV with Harvest Hosts and it was wonderful! Very much small town vibes (even smaller) which we loved! The bartender was extremely kind and very knowledgeable about the bar’s history! We also got power hook ups for a great price which we weren’t expecting. Nestled in the mountains and surrounded by big green trees, what could be better! We loved this place and would recommend it to anyone happy to be off the grid for a bit 🙂

Pizza was okay, and the bar is a cool place with lots of photos and memorabilia. Cool view into the old mine. WORST SERVICE EVER. The bartender was so rude and could not care less. We asked for artichoke dip which is on their menu and her reply (while throwing her hands in the air) was “absolutely not, no way.” I understand it was very busy due to Molly B Damn’d Days, but there was a much better way to explain that or note it on the damn menus. Will never be back.

Great restoration of the old building. Friendly folks will answer any questions you have about the area and the history.

This bar is really interesting to go visit! The drinks, food and service were all just fine, but the real attraction is the obvious goldmine dug straight into the floor of what used to be somebody’s house. Very interesting and unique history and a must see if you are in the Wallace area. The mine is great and the food is awesome, but the real reason this bar gets 5 stars, was the “Midget Wrestling” poster in the window this last summer. I wish I had gotten time to go see that event!!

Was a little lost on our way to a hike up the road and stopped in there to ask for directions. Ended up buying a beer and chatting for a good time. The bar is homey and very welcoming. They have tons of arcade machines and entertainment for all types of crowds.

Stopped here to get some quick Wi-Fi service and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing this place was! We got the claim jumper pizza and it was AMAZING! Stop by on your way up the mountain as it’s just about 10 mins past Pritchard tavern!

You would never guess a place this far out has great pizza…but it does! Try to stop in whenever I’m passing through for a bite to eat. The drive there is pretty awesome too.
