I had an absolutely delightful experience at Becky’s in Portland, Maine. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a memorable meal. The menu was a true treat, offering a wide array of options ranging from classic comfort foods to more inventive choices. Opting for their signature dishes, I tried both the Lobster Benedict Eggs and the Lobster Roll. The Lobster Benedict Eggs were a revelation – the perfectly poached eggs paired harmoniously with the succulent lobster, all topped with a delectable hollandaise sauce. Equally impressive was their Lobster Roll, with generous chunks of tender lobster meat nestled in a buttery, toasted roll. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavor was evident.

Highly recommended by locals. Top choice for many. Great food, large variety with local specialties. Heading back soon. Peak time may require a wait.

Typical diner, popular with tourists and locals located in a wharf. The meals are cheap and reliable, and the coffee has the expected burnt coffee flavor. Early morning breakfast was our meal of choice today. You must add on the Canceaux Sauce to your meal. It’s a local hot sauce with the perfect blend of sweet and spice! Becky’s opens early at 5 am, and other diners in Portland don’t open until 7 am.

We called in for Breakfast & glad we did. They got us seated & served rather quickly but didn’t make us feel rushed. The food was fabulous & we’d definitely call in again if back in the area.

Becky’s Diner is a real find. The wait staff is very friendly, there’s a nice mix of tourists and local Portlanders dining here. The diner has counter service as well as booths. The breakfast food is classic diner fare with seafood and lobster creations too. Saving the best for last is their lobster roll plate. One third pound of succulent fresh Maine lobster with French fries and coleslaw is not to be missed.

We went straight from the Portland airport to Becky’s for a late lunch. We shared a clam chowder which was delicious. Steve ate a Lobster melt sandwich and I had Lobster Benedict. They were very tasty tasty. They also serve “grilled” blueberry muffins! We couldn’t fit that in so we took a couple (their last two for the day) to go and ended up eating them Love dinner. We can see why this restaurant is a local favorite.

It’s our first time visiting Maine. Just stop by for a quick bite during our New England road trip. Can’t leave without trying Maine famous seafood, of course. The place was really busy. We decided to sit at the bar instead of 20 minutes waiting for the table. We just ordered a plate of seafood combo, and it came with two side dishes. It’s kind of big portions, two of us weren’t able to finish it. It’s really delicious fry seafood, came with fish, scallops, shrimp, and clamps. The waiter or bar tender was really nice. The service was excellent.

I stopped in for breakfast and got a seat right away at the counter. It was just me, so I only got to try one dish (smoked salmon and avocado eggs benedict) – it was great! Loved the homey atmosphere, and the service was good. Would definitely go back again to try some more options. The parking was a bit confusing at first, but check the signs and if in doubt, ask the host or hostess.

Our breakfast was spectacular. Busy little place and you get served with a smile. Love the atmosphere, the homemade corned beef hash, was just wow!!
