Owned and operated by Nikki Gouge, Beckett’s Restaurant was opened over Thanksgiving weekend in 1994 by Lonnie Beckett. Beckett’s Restaurant was originally established as a sports bar with a select menu, but while the selection was small, the flavor was enormous! Lonnie brought signature items to the menu that survive to this day and that many locals still can’t veer from. The 1/2 lb. charbroiled burger and the marinated chicken breast; the hamburgers and steaks made to temperature both tender and moist, bursting with flavor. Our house dressing – Beckett’s Homemade Creamy Garlic – an aromatic, explosive prelude of flavor for the meal that is about to arrive! Fresh cut french fries and perfectly marbled steaks that you can cut with a fork.

Came through Glasgow on our last road trip, and decided to give this establishment a go. We had a later lunch (1:30ish), so the place wasn’t that busy, maybe 3 other tables/booths were taken.

We’d heard great things about Beckett’s so tried it for Valentine’s Day. We made reservations early. When we arrived, we were seated at the very back of the dining room next to the ice machine, even though there were other table & booths available. NO ONE should EVER be seated there — too busy & too noisy! Service was very good, but mixed reviews on the food… the steaks were cooked & seasoned perfectly although I sent mine back because it was half fat (it was graciously replaced). The asparagus stalks had not been trimmed & the bottom 2″ were so woody they were inedible. No hot rolls, just a piece of Texas toast for an $80 for 2 special, and only one dessert to share. The dessert, however, was delicious! We love the winery, but I doubt that we will ever return to the restaurant.

Dropped in after lunch rush on Thursday. One other customer in the place. So not rushed for food prep. Fried pickles spears were badly overcooked as were both breaded tenderloins we ordered. Roasted red pepper soup was mostly tomatoe sauce/juice. Some red pepper in it I guess.

I ate there Saturday night after the wine walk. My hamburger was extremely dry and my fries were awful! It was obvious that they were fried in old oil. They were almost black and soggy! Several people at my table had the same problem with their fries. The waitress asked how the food was. We told here that the fries were awful. She didn’t even apologize! The cauliflower was great! The peach daiquiri is to die for! I might go back for the daiquiri, but I’ll never eat there again!

My husband and I ate there Saturday night after the wine walk. I ordered fried cauliflower and it was amazing! I also ordered a tenderloin sandwich and it was terrible!! It looked and tasted as if it had been fried in old grease. The coating was very very dark and it had a burnt taste. My husband also ordered a tenderloin sandwich with mayo and cheese. His sandwich looked and tasted the same as mine….terrible. He did not get the cheese on his sandwich and we still had to pay for the cheese. He ordered fries and they looked and tasted the same, terrible. The fries looked burnt and was soggy. We’ve had great service and food in the past, but we think we’ll pass for awhile until they can get used to having large dinner rushes after events.
