Passing through this town and decided to stop for a quick lunch. Not sure what was going on here with this place. Looked closed but open. Food was just okay, (it is fast food) out of some food items on the menu, Service was discombobulated. Brought out menu items one at a time instead of all together. Fries cold, and soda tasted like it was out of syrup that gives it flavor.

I had been to this place back when it was A&W and enjoyed it then. Happened to be passing through recently and decided to drop in for some food. Service was quick and friendly. The food was just so-so. I ordered a coney cheese dog with fries and a small peanut butter milkshake. The coney dog and waffle fries tasted good, but the portions were not very big for the money. The milkshake was huge for being a small in my opinion, but it was not very good. The texture was kind of weird. The ice cream was kind of soupy like it was melted, but with frozen chunks in it. It definitely wasn’t spoiled or anything, it just seems like they took some partially melted ice cream and then some still frozen solid ice cream and threw it in the blender. There wasn’t much peanut butter flavor and the peanut butter that was in it was not mixed in very well. I was rather disappointed with the milkshake.

Freedom a&w :)….had a wonderful experience on the border between ohio and Indiana. Took my mom and brother out to eat and they recommended freedoms a&w. I had the double bacon burger and fries and my mom and brother had the fish sandwich and onion rings . The crew were attentive and courteous. We had our food within 5 minutes and it was delicious!

I visted here when I was 1 and then when I was a bit older but hadn’t been back since. My family is local to the area. We were up from VA for my dad’s memorial service this weekend. We’d usually go to this A&W each time after we visited Lisbon cemetery right off Deer field road. I remembered as a young girl the bear that spins with the classic mug which hangs high on a pole. Also, the frosted mugs with there famous rootbeer floats. My favorite! My family and I were super impressed when we visted and it was a blessing to reminisce. Thank you for sticking around and excellent service.

I was excited to eat at this place as we ate there last season. We drove all the way from greenville. The ordering speaker was so low the girl couldn’t hear us and we had to scream our order 2 or 3 times. They didn’t have diet root beer. After finally getting our order through we waited 30 minutes for our food to come out (we were the only people there??). The “pizza burger” was two patties with a piece of mozzarella cheese between & 3 pickles. The cheese curds weren’t done & tasted of oil. The onion rings had soaked oil taste. The root beer was water with a small amount of root beer carbonated. Very disappointing I won’t be back.
