We would like to welcome you to our Restaurant located in Historic Downtown Bryan in a building dating back to the 1880s, a time when settlers from Germany and all over the world began making their homes in Bryan. For more than 3 years we restored this building to its former glory.
Great craftsmanship was required to build a replica of a real 1800s pine ceiling as was used commonly throughout Germany and Austria at the time.
We hope you will enjoy our selection of homemade traditional dishes and our range of quality German beers, all of which are still brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.

Enjoyed visiting this place. The atmosphere was really good and the service amazing! There was some service delay, but that was primarily due to only two waiters being at work. Still wouldn’t let this take away from the restaurant and I think it totally deserves 5 stars all around.

Stood there waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes, right when I was thinking I should just go somewhere else, a customer who was eating said I should just go sit down as there were plenty of open tables. Server walked past multiple times without acknowledging me or bringing me a menu so I pulled it up on my phone. Eventually she comes by and I ask for the chicken jagerschnitzel. The food actually came out quick, but was disappointed again when I realized she brought me pork. I don’t normally like pork, but at this point I was so hungry I ate it anyways. Spaetzel was good though.

Ate here for the first time taking my dad out for his birthday. Our group of 5 had a great time. Atmosphere gets an A+ for injecting some of the spirit of Bavarian beer halls and restaurants via the ceiling wood, booth/bench seating, and decorations. Staff was A+ friendly across the board. Felt very welcome and had excellent service. On the food side, they are close to getting it right. Several of us had schnitzel in various forms. It tasted good, but in all cases was a little over-cooked and could use a bit of seasoning. Salad was very good. My mom had the goulash, which was served in a different form than we’ve ever seen, with all parts separate on a plate, but she liked it very much. We lived in Germany and Austria for several of my dad’s Air Force assignments, as well as my own, and we’ve eaten a lot of German/Austrian food. This is one of the closer attempts at getting it right. Our understanding is the owner is actually German. If he reads these reviews, recommend he get with his staff on the food seasoning and schnitzel cooking times, but otherwise this is a great place and a good alternative to other choices in Bryan-College Station. It also has the bonus of being connected to the Irish pub next door, also with the right feel. Very nice to see these locations getting the business they deserve and helping with the revitalization of downtown Bryan!

Excellent German food here. I had bratwurst, sour kraut, potato salad, and spaztle. The schnitzel was great also. Great beer and full bar next door if you need a cocktail. The service was just fine we had no issues and the food came out fast. We were there on a Monday night and it was fairly busy but still no issues whatsoever.

Our group just so happen to run into this place on First Friday. There were some difficulty with the wait time and chef, but the food was AMAZING! Our party of 7 throughly enjoyed this place. We were even talking about coming back soon for a birthday dinner. I highly recommend!

Fantastic schnitzel, beer, and other authentic German delicacies. The excellent service is very welcoming and helpful. Great ambiance with large tables and booths in a spacious dining room. The menu has nice selections ranging from schnitzel to bratwurst and hefeweizen to doppelbock. There are also some nice dessert selections including crepes with various fillings to choose from. Sides include spatzle, sauerkraut, potato salad and other German specialties. Appetizers range from a German sausage sampler to Bavarian pretzels. Very convenient, free parking on the street. If you fancy Irish libations, the adjacent sister establishment has a dozen draft beers to choose from, including Guiness.

The Bavarian Brauhaus is one of our favorite places to eat whenever we are in town. The food is always hot and tasty. The staff is always friendly and ready to get you whatever you need. I can hardly wait until we are back in town and eat here again.
