Stopped in this morning on my way to Buford. This place is the absolute bomb! I couldn’t make up my mind on what to order so decided to get a gravy biscuit with scrambled eggs and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuits are delectable and the gravy is to die for. There are definitely no frozen biscuits or packaged gravy or powdered eggs being served here! Everything was hot, fresh, and came out very fast. The people working here are very obviously comfortable working together and they were packed with regulars that I could tell eat here often. I hope to make this nice little “shack” a regular stop on my numerous trips to Atlanta from the Alabama/Georgia line.

First time there. Looks like a dive on the outside but a kinda throwback to an early time. Lots of retired gentlemen who looked as if they frequent this place. The staff knew their names. Reminded me of the 60’s and like Andy Griffiths Mayberry.

I don’t get it. I came to this restaurant because the food looked good in the reviews, especially the freshly made chicken tenders. I ordered tenders, expecting what was advertised in the photos, and they brought out to me 3 cheap frozen Kroger strips. It wasn’t even a breast tenderloin, it was ground-up chicken, shaped into a strip. I could have thrown those in the airfryer at home for a fraction of the cost, if I knew that’s what they were going to bring me. Ask for ranch or hot sauce and they bring you Kroger brand bottles. Again, I have those at home.

I’ve gone for breakfast twice. Some of the food is precooked, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, and gravy, but it’s much better than I would normally expect. My only critique is those items are not very hot when served. The sausage gravy is better than most and even when you order items that have to be cooked fresh (over easy eggs) they are really quick. Biscuits are very tender and thick. If you prefer thinner or crustier biscuits you might be a little disappointed but overall this place is solid. Portions are large.

Great burger, onion rings and chicken fingers! Fries were horrible, no seasoning and they werent cooked all the way through. Honey mustard was gross. I ordered the wrong thing, the burgers are the star here. Good food for the price.

This is simple southern home cooking. Nothing fancy, but it’s clean with friendly service and exceptionally reasonable pricing. And especially awesome place for those who tend to avoid the big “chain restaurants“. Chances are, the person cooking your food is the owner or is related to the owner. Easily 5 Stars. In terms of culinary enjoyment per dollar, it should get 10 stars.

Excellent food, good country atmosphere, best battered fries and home of the most coolest pink register (believe that)
