My one and only go to meal at Basil. Love it very much.

Everything was good, food was nice service was great and atmosphere was great also. But there is a art of one of Hinduism God name Ram and Hanuman which I found place outside the restroom. Placing a god portrait is disrespectful and a disgusting thing to do. I told the owner to remove that art peace from near the restroom and place it anywhere near the entrance or dining area so, but owner said we will do it soon. I was like you should do it right now! It was disrespectful and I was really heartbroken by the shameful act they did. A god portrait or image shouldn’t be near restroom, it should be placed anywhere in a clean and safe place. No matter what religion it is all religion and culture should be respected, and that is what I not found here. Sorry but I felt disgusted. I had attached the image of God Hanuman and Ram so you can also verify on google. It’s a Thai art of god Hanuman and Ram.

We happened to bump into this place as we were walking around this cool neighborhood. The ambience is just classic and when u see it, you feel like going in. The food is equally amazing and the Tom Kha soup was simply the best. We ended our dinner with fried ice cream:)

I used to love this restaurant’s another location in downtown Charleston until they permanently closed that spot.

We loved our dinner here! First off all, we loved that we got seated right away and didn’t need reservations. The coconut soup is delicious and the wide noodle dish (the first one under the noodles section) was my absolute favorite! It has a hint of sweetness and it was delicious. The pad Thai was my next fave followed by the Thai noodles. Great service as well!

Basil Thai elevates Charleston’s already top notch Restaurant reputation even higher.

Basil Thai Park is a restaurant that offers delicious Thai cuisine in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant’s menu is packed with a wide range of dishes, from traditional favorites to more contemporary creations. One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Thai Hot Chicken Pad See Ew.

I have come here a couple of times and mainly order to go. I usually get the spring rolls, the red curry and the pad Thai. The food is fairly good. The reason I get them 1 star because I can’t give -10 is because the service can’t be worse. The bartender is being extremely rude in different occasions. The first time he was like acting up, I ignored him because I thought he just had a bad day, but yesterday I went to celebrate with my bf something special and the bar tender completely ruined our night. Never coming back!

I’ve been going to basil since they were downtown (for decades). I love this restaurant. The only thing that was annoying is that I ordered pad Thai which comes with shrimp and chicken. Given that I’m vegetarian, I asked for tofu pad Thai.
