Tried the pad see ew for lunch on a weekday afternoon. Lots of seating and parking. Staff was attentive, food came quickly. Chicken was a bit overcooked, flavor was okay. Portions were on the smaller side. Relatively expensive for what you get. Nothing really stood out. Definitely better bang for your buck elsewhere.

I went here for the first time today. I got two carryout orders. I’ve only eaten the shrimp and noodles. I ate the shrimp and a few noodles and threw the rest in the trash. It was sweet, I do not want sweet Asian food. If I want something sweet, I’ll eat a piece of cake. I’ll get back to you about the beef and rice but if it taste like sugar it will be going in the trash also. Will not be eating here again.

So you come in and sit down for a Thai meal of which your choice has been pre chosen because you know you’ll pick pad Thai , curry, or your common go to meal because almost all Thai places have the same menu. Coming here you’ll be treated well but can see the signs that they have tried other options and found that people are predictable. So the sushi bar exists but it’s mothballed, this is not a date spot but it is a good order out place or lunch spot.

Food is good. But I won’t come back because of the prices. I had Red Curry ($17) with Tofu (+$2). With tax and tip thats almost $24 for some rice, vegetables and tofu.

I have been to Basil Thai couple of times. Their food is usually good, especially if you stick to their popular dishes. I like their pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles. This time I ordered ramen noodles and it is not so good. It felt more like having instant noodles. It’s close to my office and I will visit again but try their usual menu. The price seems a little more especially for the quantity. Service is decent.
