Cute little lunch/dinner spot. Waitress was friendly and very attentive. My friend ordered the Monte Crisco and it apparently busted open when they were cutting it. They brought the half that was okay and made her a whole new sandwich. It was our first time there and we would have never known. Super awesome they cared about the taste and presentation. Only thing I would have liked were more fries. I asked for no cucumbers on my salad and received quite a few on there. Luckily, easy to pick off. Prices were very reasonable.

This place is a hidden gem. The historic downtown building is beautiful, the host is friendly and gracious, and the food is always fantastic. More than worth a drive from out of town, or when you’re passing through, for an upscale casual dinner, and a nice brew.

Absolutely phenomenal! Every aspect of our lunch was perfect. From the old fashioned to the olives and the burger & sandwich were all SO SO good! The salads & dressings also! We were not expecting this place to be as awesome as it is. The burgers are unique and amazing, I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them. The kids mac and cheese and chicken fingers were top knotch. Prices are so reasonable it will be hard going anywhere else to eat when we are in town.

Nice atmosphere for an adult dinner or lunch. There was some wait for refills and the food. With great drinks and conversation, you don’t notice or mind. The food was on point! 5 out of 5 on the food. The bar tender’s abilities are one of the best in Bolivar!

Very surprising place for Bolivar, MO. The best food in town, for sure. Not a huge menu, but everything on the menu is well thought out and cooked to perfection. Always ask about their specials! Small, but good selection of craft beers on tap. Large liquor variety, for mixed drinks. The owners are very hospitable and friendly. It’s always impeccably clean and smells good. I highly recommend Basil & Bourbon!
