Stopped by this place on a whim, and so glad we did. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect. The food… oh my goodness, yum!! Not to mention, the bathroom is charming…. but my kids were a fan of the hidden bathroom lol. Must stop here, if in the area!!

Wonderful dinner and atmosphere! Everything was delicious! The chowder was amazing. We also enjoyed the strawberry salad and Cajun pasta. We wish we could come back for a second meal during our visit. 10/10

Chowder was ok (I make mine tons better). Server heard our orders wrong & the creamy pasta w/chicken was ordinary at best. By the picture we didn’t finish our shared dinner. Left unpleased by the whole experience. Hamburgers would’ve been a better pick.

After a day at the Alyeska Spa we were HUNGRY! The first place we went to was closed so we decided to try Base Camp… SO GLAD WE DID! The chowder was insane! I asked for one to go and it broke my heart when Michael our waiter said they just sold the last bowl!… oh and Michael is just a good guy, very helpful with menu selections and a great smile. We will be back!

Spotless and bright, the atmosphere is an optimal blend of smoke, steam, kitchen noise, conversation, and mellow rock music. The open layout, with the kitchen central and the wraparound bar, makes this a pleasant, social place to pass the time. Service was cordial and prompt. Strawberry salad was fresh and tangy; the steamed mussels, of generous proportion, were garlicky, heavenly. My one knock on the latter is that there’s not enough bread to sop up the delicious sauce. Overall, this place is hitting the mark.
