This place was fantastic! I’m so glad that I overcame a few of my initial concerns walking into this place, since the food and my experience there were so good. I stopped by since I was in the area, and the place had just opened and it was empty. The interior was decorated simply with touches of African art. The guy sat me down and talked about their different foods and offered some recommendations. I decided to go with the peanut butter beef stew. While I was waiting, the man working there said the food was from the Mali area of western African and that many people there spoke French.

My wife and I got takeout from here and it was delicious. We definitely plan to return. We ordered Attieke fish and chicken Jolof rice. The side of plantains were also very well done. Thank you!

A great way to spend a nice afternoon lunch! The fish with attieke was tops for me, perfectly fried whole with salads and onions that reminded me of jam. Absolutely delicious plantains and the degue was a refreshing pudding. Thank you so much Barry and great staff!

This meal was phenomenal, I believe it is cooked from scratch so do budget a bit of wait time but so well worth the wait. The plated presentation also was beautiful and most importantly the taste was delicious!

What a delightful find on an unassuming Sunday afternoon! We were greeted by a precocious 3-year-old “waitress” who was all about giving and receiving free hugs! Her Guinean dad and Burkinabé mom made us some excellent attieke fish, chicken, and fried plantains with little amuse-bouches of spicy sauces, cooked onions, and salads that you can do whatever with. It is extremely rare that I need a doggy bag, but I did here. This food reminded of such happy days in Abidjan and Ouagadougou…I close my eyes and I am there….aaaaahhhhhh!!!

I had the most amazing dinner yesterday from Barry’s African restaurant. The cuisine is filing, worth the value, nutritionally balanced and very tasty. I also love the warm welcoming presence of the staff. The way the spices are presented on “the side” gives you even more options that makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

This place seems to be very new. We went and sat there for about 10-15 minutes before someone even came and attended to us. The menu was confusing as well. The food was pretty good but I’ve had better.
