Stopped in for a couple slices and a salad around 2pm. On this visit they did not meet their normal standard of service that I normally get at this location. Not very prompt on taking my order, no slices hot and ready, no napkins available near the silverware Location. Took over 20 minutes to get two slices after getting my salad. Food was delicious. Salad ingredients fresh.

This has been our go to spot for pizza and wings for many years. We stopped ordering the wings as they were never cooked correctly or they were just not good. Lately the pizza is not up to thier normal standard. Wrong toppings, not topped correctly , unfinished looking dough. Today our pizza looked like it had been shaken dropped or something. Unfortunately didn’t have time to go back in.

kinda upset right now but I don’t want to write anything based on just emotions. I ordered a pizza through door dash for delivery around 8:30pm and they close at 10pm so I would say realistically more than enough time to make a 16″ thin crust with one topping but I received a smaller than 16″ box that was slightly warm, I literally say that can’t be right and dd driver replied that’s right and that’s what they gave me, I get to the kitchen and guess what cinnamon sticks . called Barro’s and was met with thanks for calling but we are closed and if there is an issue door dash will take care of it but they don’t take care of the tip in cash that was given or a 100% of the food cost or time lost. ps- why eat food when you can get straight to desert

Update: ordering from door dash is awful, you can’t customize orders. You can’t get specials online. There’s no more special instructions. In the other reviews they say(due to circumstances beyond our control) you do control this move you made. You were the one who signed up for door dash. Then they say email us about your experience so they can pass it along to management……they just told you in the review! Barros be better than this. Still best pizza in the valley but this delivery change SUCKS!

Such a shame they don’t deliver anymore and outsource to DoorDash, who has terrible service. You can’t get toppings on only half the pizza thru DoorDash and you can’t make a special request for the pizza to be made well done. You can’t take advantage of the special offers that Barros has. And DoorDash has a 17% service fee before the delivery fee and tip. Time to find a different pizza spot.

So, unfortunately after getting delivery from Barro’s for years just about once a week they have outsourced delivery to a third party company. DoorDash I think the person on the phone said. I am NOT gonna pay premiums for a third party company so I am NO LONGER a patron of Barro’s. The food has always been great but the best part was being able to get it delivered as it’s difficult for me to leave the house. When I lived in Cave Creek I used to go to that Barro’s, When I moved to Glendale the restaurant was on 51st and Union Hills then it moved to 51st and Bell. All the while my family and myself have been LOVING their food. 30 plus years. Man I’m sick of DoorDash, Uber Eats and all the rest of them. I am NOT gonna pay extra to these companies. Barro’s delivery drivers I would be more than happy to pay for and have been for YEARS. Such an absolute shame. Now if I want delivery I can’t call the restaurant or use the Barro’s website? I’m done……
