Barrio Taco is amazing. Great vibes, great staff, shout out to Claire for the recommendations for my lunch. She works at Barrio and Annabelle’s next door and is the best. I asked what she recommended and she did not disappoint. I got the Horchata to drink which was amazing. She recommended the Al Pastor taco and the Quesabirra taco. The pineapple cilantro salsa with the Al Pastor taco was amazing but I have to say the Birra Consume was the best to dip in and sip from the cup. After eating my tacos I had to go back inside for dessert and I never get dessert.

I vacation in OCMD every summer and have been coming to OCMD for the last 6 years. I had an AD pop up on my Facebook page and saw their post and did a little digging trying to see what this place was about. I came here on Tuesday 7/18 and ordered Quesabirria tacos, tacos Al pastor, Agua Fresca de Jamaica and I was not disappointed at all. I returned again today 7/21 because it’s our last day here to have delicious food again. I again was not disappointed. The staff and a gentleman that are always there to help are all amazing! I didn’t experience a “snarky” or “attitude” from anyone in the place. I am very pleased and impressed with the authenticity of the food. No means is it “Tex-Mex”. I’ll finish off with, I am Mexican and will 1000% recommend this place to everyone! Give it a try and trust me you won’t be disappointed at all!

After trying Annabelle’s we decided to eat at this taco restaurant with the same owner (also recommended by the owner of Malibu Surf Shop on the boardwalk) and it’s awesome! I really like the vibe with the picnic tables and ordering through the window. The service was very friendly and the food came out quickly! Loved the Birria tacos and the street corn!

Came here two years ago for the first tike and was completely wowed by their food, returned recently and still- I’m amazed. They’ve only gotten even better, if possible. They deserve recognition and appreciation, I have never been disappointed in the food here!

I wanted to love it. The corn tortillas had so much potential but they were “raw”… cold and rubbery. The crispy fish was mushy and sour… The quesadilla was unrecognizable. The chorizo queso was however amazing.

Fantastic food. I was at the beach and thinking crabs, but I saw the amount of stars this place had and tried it. The guacamole at $12 is very pricey, but fresh and delicious. Other reviews said tamales were good, so I tried a chicken one. Yummy. I expected a corn tamale stuffed with chicken, but no, it is a full corn tamale with a chicken sauce on top. I assume all three tamales are served this way, so try whichever you want the most – the tamale will be the same. I had a pastor taco on the advice of the counter-person. It was good, nothing to crazy for. I would try a different flavor next time. The star of the show was the empanada. Again, I had chicken but was close to trying the shrimp. It was fresh-fried and really good. Lastly, I ordered a side of rice. It was excellent, very reminiscent of Uncle Julios’ dry, Spanish rice. But at $5 a side I did not try the beans. I wish there had been a rice/bean combo for $5 as I was just one person. The food rates 5 stars. The staff was friendly, but they should do more. The outside tables needed cleaning and especially the ground needed sweeping. It was a mess of napkins and tortilla chip pieces. So the “atmosphere” takes a hit, too. You sit at a counter inside or one of about 5 half-picnic tables outside.
