Barrio is a fun and authentic Korean and Filipino BBQ eatery located in Garden Grove, California. At Barrio, great comfort food meets the unique, dynamic ambiance of Steelcraft. Our plates are generously portioned and allow you to customize your plate in any way you’d like! You can even add-on classics like a freshly fried egg and our signature garlic lover’s sauce!
Barrio features exciting choices such as our marinated pork & chicken skewers, as well as off-the-skewer Korean classics, such as spicy pork or sweet beef bulgogi. Eating as clean as possible? We suggest simply grilled garlic-herb shrimp or grilled Atlantic salmon with our mixed green salad featuring fresh mangoes and a house made calamansi vinaigrette.

Greatest find! We were on a trip to Disneyland when we were looking for something different for lunch. Looked up Tea Otter and found that Barrio was part of the same StreelCraft Garden Grove. We are so happy that we tried it. One of the best Filipino foods I have had in awhile. We loved it so much that we have now been four times in the past few months on each of our Anaheim trips.

We had to go back again the same night to make sure we liked it . Good Korean/Filipino BBQ. Awesome service.

Lumpia is crispy but not very flavorful (not worth the splurge) and is below average. Definitely had better lumpia in several other places. Bulgogi had a good marinade but was a little chewy. Honestly, it’s a little overpriced for what you get. The platter I got had 50% white rice, the meat serving was light, and the whole thing came close to $20! If you pay $20 for a meal, you would expect to be full afterwards, but I left feeling like I could eat more. The staff was very nice but the food is a bit overrated.

The food was room temperature. Not fresh. It like they cooked ahead. Worried if my pork is cooked completely. Can not tell with all sauce put on it.

Barrio- really the only issue I had with the chicken plate ($10) was the “garlic fried rice”. I know that Filipinos really don’t cook their fried rice with quinoa. I mean, I know it’s a trendy item and it contains protein, but I didn’t mesh well. Please, please, please add a real garlic fried rice to your menu aids to your plates!!

Sadly the food is the worst feature. The area where the restaurant is located is great, the staff is nice, but the food is not great. If you’re going to eat Korean, just go to a Korean restaurant. The kimchi is store bought and you can tell in the taste, the food over all is not flavorful.

Decent food, but not like it’s super special that you can’t find anywhere else. The portion is so TINY for the price. If you come for hanging out with friends/family and have a snack then it’s the place. Don’t expect it to be a full meal size.
