Small little spot in the parking lot. Can’t miss it with the vibrant colors. There’s a drive thru on one side! It seems due to COVID guidelines, there’s only one outdoor seating bench. Gentleman was kind, wore a mask, gloves, and offered a seat when previous customers left when we were about to eat in the trunk of our car. We drove 2 hours out and first time having jamaican food, it was seasoned well and great portions. We had the popular jerk chicken that was recommended and oxtail. Definitely coming back.

I went on a Saturday during the day around 4PM and ordered a Jerk chicken and an Oxtail and was served by the lady. The food was great. I went there the following day and ordered pretty much everything on their menu. The Jerk Chicken (and the extra serving I had ordered) sucked altogether. The guy had put only chicken legs in both orders. You would think they would want to have satisfied customers especially when you order everything on their menu but it seems like he was more concerned with stuffing my orders with junk leftover ! I have a few restaurants in town, and the problem is the lack of understanding of the significance of consistency in customer service. Will never spend a dime in this place again.

Want some homemade Jamaican food, stop by this mom and pop place. I tried their jerk chicken and the lady gave me a sample of the curry chicken and it just melted in your mouth and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. Each meal comes with rice and beans, cabbage, plantains and a soda. I’ll be back on the weekend to try their oxtail for sure.

Wagwan foodies! This was absolutely delicious!! Not sure what to try? Ask for half and half. I had the jerk chicken and curry chicken. Chicken was tender and juicy. Sides were cabbage, plantains and rice with peas. The flavors were amazing. “Up top” Barry for my first Jamaican food experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Been here a couple of times and tried the beef patties, jerk chicken, their veggie plate and now the curry goat and oxtails. Just good food period! The young lady that works there on the weekends even gave us a sample of the brown-stew chicken OMGee that dish there is the bomb-diggity. Yep I said that. lol We’ll get that next visit and try something else different as well. Pleasant people who work there. Thanks for being in Bakersfield. We don’t have many places like this here.

Fast service and wonderful food. Ordered the jerk chicken combo: flavorful chicken over rice/beans, plantains, steamed cabbage. Also tried the spicy beef patty: golden pastry filled with spicy beef filling. Everything was absolutely delicious and I definitely be going back for more.
