The most authentic Mexican food I’ve found outside of Cancun in Missouri! The owners are so nice and all the staff is very friendly. Huge portions of fantastic food at great prices too! And the widest range of margarita flavors you can imagine, (they even have banana) my favorite is the strawberry lemonade margarita! Must try queso fundido for an appetizer, trust me… everyone will love it!

A hole in the wall looking place but that’s how you know the food is gonna be good. Glad I found them on Google because I never would have gone in on a whim. Great food, good portions, will definitely be going back to try some of the many ice creams they have!

Tried this place out for the first time. Was not impressed. We waited 20 min for our margaritas. Manager finally came w them and just dropped them off. I tried to ask him for a straw be he was gone. Our food came and the beans looked like canned pinto beans (not refried) the rice was not good at all. We had the fajitas and were not impressed. I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and it takes a lot for me to write a review like this. I just hope they step their game up and then we will come back. I love supporting local.

After a day of shopping Main Street in Greenwood, Barrigas is our favorite stop for dinner. The food is always good and the margaritas are prepared just right. The food is reasonably priced and on par with other Mexican restaurants in the area. The dining room is large and we never have to wait long for a table. The staff is always friendly, but sometimes our order comes out wrong. They always fix it, but that’s the only reason for the 4 star review instead of 5.

My favorite Mexican restaurant of all-time. All of my family agrees including my parents who travel to Mexico multiple times a year. I tell everyone I know to come here. They are very generous with the chips and salsa. If you want a spicy salsa? Ask for it. Every single item I’ve gotten here has been flavorful and delicious! Service has always been good. SUPPORT LOCAL! This is not a chain restaurant, this is a family owned business. If you’re dining in, get the Queso Fundido. Bubbling queso served with chorizo. We get it without tomatoes, but it does come with them. You can get items with the fundido (queso and chorizo). Don’t sleep on some of plates such as the Chile Rojo, Jalisco Special, and Alambres. Just look at all the dishes we had one night. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! I rarely drink, but I have been told the margaritas are large and delicious!

Barrigas is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the KC area! When we order carry out, it’s always fresh and hot. The menu is phenomenal and every dish is full of flavor. We highly recommend their chicken fajita or beef nachos and quesadillas, their regular salsa and their hot salsa verde, and the alambres. But you really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!
