I have had several great times here. There is a great selection of spirits and special Manhattans and a good tap selection. The burgers and fries are amazing and the menu has some great items like truffle fries or scotch egg. They have a friendly staff to top it off! If you are in the plaza to get groceries I’d recommend stopping in for a beer and a bite. This is a great local spot and I’m glad I found it.

I came on my birthday to eat here because I saw the pictures and saw the reviews they weren’t even open and yet their sign said that they opened at 11:00 but no one was around we waited till 11:30 nobody showed up people walking by said this isn’t uncommon however it was disappointing considering it was my birthday and this is where I wanted to go. Good news though red plum right next door is awesome that’s where I spent my birthday dinner at.

The establishment was very nice inside and had a good vibe. Happy there was live music the night we went. Not pleased with the drinks or food, however. I had the last of the bellini-tini mix and it was all just the alcohol and didn’t even have the peach flavor. The beer cheese dip was super lumpy and I don’t know what was in the guac, but it sure didn’t taste right. The tator tots were awesome though and I was grateful you had that option.

Last time here was Fat Tuesday 2014 under the old owner. Nice selection of craft beers, limited menu, more snacks than meals. Pretty much a bar that also sold craft beers and wine for carry out. Fast forward 2020, we have always been on the email list and received the Valentines Day notice of a four course meal for 2. We decided to finally try the new Barrel 33 after hearing about the changes that have occurred with the new owners. Could not have been more impressed with the changes. Were greeted immediately by the owner Brian when we entered, shown where to go and were immediately seated in the restaurant/bar area. He came to the table and welcomed us, gave menus, explained the specials and introduced our server Grady, who then took over. We did decide to go with the Valentine special, ordering a mid well ribeye along with the grilled barramundi. You can personally choose a beer from 336 choices in coolers along the wall to go with your meal or from 10-15 draft beers on tap if you desire. Received our drinks almost immediately, followed in 15 minutes by the shrimp scampi. Six 10-12 ct shrimp cooked PERFECTLY. Saved the leftover sauce for the ribeye! Dinner salads came as the last shrimp went. Grady was watching and timed everything perfectly. Kudos. Meals came about 12-15 minutes as salads were just finished. Grady checked on us often. Ribeye was excellent along with the mashed potatoes as well as the broccoli which they let us substitute for asparagus. Could not have been more accommodating for a set menu. The barramundi was superb, grilled perfectly. Only thing to suggest would be a jasmine or basmati rice instead of basic parboiled ( think Uncle Bens). The mango salsa went great with it. All this was followed up with a huge chocolate eclair for two! Overall, very impressed with the changes over the past years, along with the food and plan on many future visits.

I was visiting a friend in the area and he decided to take me to one of his favorite places. I was rather disappointed in the very slow service and inattentiveness of the staff. The restaurant wasn’t even busy which confused me. The food was ok. The beer and wine selection was incredible.

Went here on a whim for drinks and some appetizers on a night out. They had some amazing craft beers to choose from in their bistro/bar and the food was delicious. They order oysters once a month on Thursdays and I got 6. It was snowy outside but I pictured myself in Hilton Head as I ate them. The scotch egg was also amazing and our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.

Service was good. Food was great, I mean really really good. I went on Jazz night and it was fun even though im not a Jazz person. Portion of the food is what it should be and as I waited a short time for my food I look at the shop. The owner who is really friemdly and helpful showed me things I was looking for was walking around….I would recommend it to anyone…will come again.
