Have visited this drive-in many many times, unfortunately this is probably our last. More employees inside, than customers. Yet it took an hour to bring out the correct order. Over charged with food we didn’t order, confused employees, and definitely not delicious food. Unfortunately the covers on the to-go rootbeers did not fit correctly, and repeatedly fell off causing quite the sticky mess in our car. Hamburger under cooked and very pink, onion rings freezer burnt, brought out our rootbeer float completely melted a solid 20 minutes before the food and without a straw. Noticed the table near us were having issues with their order also. We gave up. Best of luck to them, not the drive-in we remember.

Barney’s is a classic Drive-In and a great part of every Waseca summer. I grew up in Waseca and always enjoyed going to Barney’s as a kid. Now I live in the Twin Cities and bring my kids back to enjoy a classic Waseca treat!

I’ve been going to Barneys for as long as I can remember but was very disappointed by the management. The coleslaw came in a very small cup and tasted very weird. I ended up not eating it as well as the other two in the car. The burgers had a fair amount of meat on them but tasted very bland. They put barely any ketchup on them and didn’t bring us the bottle of ketchup or napkins. There isn’t much to say about the fries besides the fact they taste like the ones at the fair. The root beer was good and was the saving grace to our meal.

We got there at opening. The menu machine wasn’t turned on, had to go to window to order. We were shorted 2 orders of fries an coleslaw with our baskets. The fries they brought us were not cooked completely. Very small portion of coleslaw. The only good part of the meal was the root beer. Wont be coming back.

Don’t go when it’s busy. Waited 40 minutes for our order of 2 California burger baskets and 1/2 gallon of root beer, but the basket part didn’t come, only the burgers and the root beer (with the cap on crooked so it was leaking). They need to verify the orders over the intercom and be more efficient inside. We’ve spent hundreds of dollars here in the past, but not in the future if things don’t improve.

The server seem like she was put out every time we ask to add something. The food came out different times. The milk shake was full of ice, like they took it of a bucket of ice cream that had thawed and refrozen. The fris were great and the sandwiches were good. They need to train their servers to put tje customers first. The rootbeer was the best.

Ordered the burger basket, the meat didn’t taste good, fries were mushy, wanted honey mustard, no honey mustard for chicken dip. The grass around the place isn’t being kept up, looks very bad.
